This is a holiday week in the US; Thanksgiving is on Thursday and the “other” Black Friday kicks off the holiday shopping season.

With more and more people taking off the entire week, and this being the most traveled holiday of the year, a handy list of poker podcasts to accompany you on your journeys might be useful. Those of you outside the US will likely see the indirect effect of the US holiday, so you may want to keep this list handy as well.

The first poker podcast I’ll direct you to is episode 7 of the Thinking Poker Podcast. Andrew “Foucault” Brokos and Nate Meyvis bring in Matt Parvis from PokerNews, most famous for his interview series titled The Lederer Files.

Along with bringing listeners up to speed on the mult-part video series, the broader topic of poker media is broached. Being obviously close to this issue personally, I was very glad to see this discussion started. I think it is a grossly overlooked topic and I hope this podcast will spark further discussion.

Speaking of PokerNews, their latest podcast is part four of the Strategy With Kristy: Live Cash Games series. The guests this week are Matt Mercurio and Berk Brown; though I haven’t listened to this episode, I have enjoyed the series so far and expect the level of quality to continue this week.

Speaking of poker news, Rabbit Hunt looks to touch all the bases this week. Mark and Matt tackle the past week’s trifecta of poker news stories: the petition to ban Howard Lederer from the Aria, Chad Elie’s coming out party and the latest on the Reid/Kyl front. They also discuss the slow-moving remission process that US players hope will result in the repayment of their Full Tilt funds.

Mike Matusow joins Hosts Chris Tessaro and Rob Wong on The Poker Show this week. Check out the interview to get Mike’s take on hand-reading in tournament poker, why he hasn’t been on the tournament circuit in the last two years, and how boring it was for him to watch the final table of the WSOP Main Event. The mouth gets riled up as usual, so be sure to check it out.

That’s all for this week. As usual, feel free to leave your own reviews, rip on mine, or suggest other poker podcasts for my listening pleasure.
