The PokerStars North American Poker Tour is underway, and the excitement at the luxurious Resorts World is palpable as things are getting ready for the start of the crown jewel of the series, the $5,300 Main Event.
The NAPT has returned to Sin City this year for its third consecutive iteration, but this time around, the action kicked off with several PokerStars Open events. PokerStars Open is a new tour powered by the operator that was introduced earlier this year, bringing together a variety of smaller series under one roof.
The North American Poker Tour officially got underway yesterday, with a $50k Super High Roller, but things are kicking in high gear today, with the first of the three Day 1 flights for the $3,000,000 GTD Main Event.

Big Money & Big Opportunities
The 2025 NAPT Main Event comes with a hefty promise of $3,000,000, but if last year is anything to go by, that guarantee will be blown out of the water. In 2024, the event attracted 895 entries, resulting in a prize pool of over $4.3 million, and there is no reason to think this year’s tournament will garner any less attention.
Players have three starting flights available to them. The first one takes place today (Nov 6), while the other two will play out tomorrow (Nov 7). Each flight allows one re-entry per player, so there are ample opportunities to bag some chips and secure a seat in Day 2 on Nov 8.
The action will then continue until Wednesday, Nov 12, which will be the final day of the tournament, and it will be streamed live, with the commentary from the legendary James Hartigan — Joe Stapleton duo. Fans will be able to tune in and watch the action unfold on YouTube and Twitch, from the moment cards get in the air until the champion is crowned.
Rich Schedule of Side Events
The NAPT Las Vegas Main Event may be the headliner of the series, but it is certainly not the only tournament on the docket. With a grand total of 49 events on this year’s schedule, there is plenty to choose from, with buy-ins and formats to fit every preference.
All the ladies joining the action will have a chance to test their skills in two Women’s events: the $330 NAPT Women’s Event on Nov 9 and the $1,100 NAPT Women’s High Roller on Nov 10.
The $550 Mystery Bounty tournament, taking place Nov 10 — 12, is certainly worth the attention, featuring an extremely affordable buy-in, a very fun format, and a generous guarantee of $200,000.
For those looking to get involved in some non-Hold’em action, the 2025 NAPT Las Vegas schedule features quite a few tournaments highlighting other game variants, such as:
- Event #20 – $550 8-Game on Nov 6
- Event #24 – $550 O/E on Nov 7
- Event #28 – $550 H.O.R.S.E. on Nov 8
- Event #41 – $5,300 8-Game on Nov 10
As always, PokerStars has made sure there is plenty of fun to be had away from the felt. On Nov 6, players can look forward to the Welcome Party at Alle Lounge on 66, while the evening of Nov 7 is reserved for Trivia Night with ‘Boston Rob’ Mariano and Tyson Apostol.
The action is heating up at the NAPT Las Vegas, and things will only get hotter with each new day. With a massive Main Event, dozens of side events for every pocket, and the usual good vibes you’ll find at any PokerStars-hosted live series, this festival is not one to miss.
