The Battle of Malta festival was established back in 2012, and for a long time, it took place only once a year. Starting in 2022, it expanded to feature two stops, one during spring/summer and another in autumn.

The fall edition of the Battle of Malta festival is set to take place Oct 27 – Nov 4, 2026 at Casino Malta. While the full schedule for hasn’t been announced yet, the organizers have revealed that there will be €2,000,000 in guarantees spread across the festival and the Main Event will feature a big €1,500,000 guarantee.
Last year’s BoM festival saw a record-breaking turnout in the €600 Main Event with 6,039 entries. This was the largest field in the festival’s history, and the organizers are looking to build on that success this year.
While schedule details are still pending, it was officially confirmed that there will be 30+ events with affordable buy-ins. The Main Event will give players an option to buy in for €300 or €600, depending on the starting flight. So far, we have the dates and key info for marquee events:

The 2026 Battle of Malta Fall Main Event comes with a generous guarantee of €1,500,000, which is a significant increase compared to last year’s €1,000,000 promise.
The tournament will have nine starting flights, with the first one taking place on Oct 28. Players will have the ability to pick between buy-ins of €300 and €600, which is an interesting approach.
All Day 1 flights will end with players making the money, but cheaper flights will play down to 7.5% of the field, while the more expensive ones will pay 15% of the total field. This means that players can pick between paying more and having a higher chance of cashing or getting in for less money but having to play longer.

In addition to the Main Event, the summer edition of the 2026 Battle of Malta will bring a nice variety of events to keep the players busy and entertained. As mentioned, the organizers have already confirmed there will be 30+ side events, and we expect to see a nice mix of games and variations, including PLO4, PLO 5, H.O.R.S.E., and more.
So far, a couple of events stand out. Mystery KO Siege of Malta features a buy-in of €450 and features a generous guarantee of €100,000, while €1,100 High Roller comes with a very high promise of €300,000.

The summer edition of the 2026 Battle of Malta festival took place May 27 — June 3 at Casino Malta, featuring a total of two dozen events. Staying true to its form, the festival featured very affordable buy-ins.
The €600 Let the Battle Begin tournament was the pinnacle of the 2026 BOM Summer edition, featuring a massive €1,000,000 guarantee.
The tournament ended up attracting 2,667 entries to get the final prize pool to almost €1.2 million. Alejandro Asenjo was the last man standing, picking up the trophy and €94,520. However, when the tournament was down to four players, a deal was reached, and it was actually Stavros Passias taking home the biggest monetary amount, cashing for €114,150.
Always looking to take things up a notch, the organizers have decided to up the guarantee for the summer edition of the Battle of Malta Main Event, making it an even €1,000,000.
The tournament, titled Let the Battle Begin, featured a buy-in of €600 (€530+€70), which meant it needed to attract quite a crowd to meet its promise. However, when it was all said and done, the tournament saw 2,667 entries, which was more than enough to meet and exceed the guarantee. The final prize pool was €1,186,962.
The final table saw a four-way deal, where the third and fourth-place finishers ended up taking home more money than the winner and the runner-up.
