PokerStars is coming back to Barcelona once more this August for what’s become the biggest and most-attended stop of the entire European Poker Tour.
Coming on the heels of last year’s success, which saw the EPT Barcelona generating the overall prize pool of €53 million and becoming the richest and most-attended event in the history of the tour, the company is eager to see that record broken.
The entire second half of August will be filled with action. Things will kick off on August 18, with PokerStars Open, and the cards will be in the air until August 31.
In addition to the €5,300 Main Event, which is bound to attract a massive field, the 2025 EPT Barcelona stop will also see the Spin & Go Championship Live, where 81 players will come together to play for the title and the big prize pool of over €275,000.
Sizzling Poker Action in One of Europe’s Hottest Cities
Over the years, Barcelona has become somewhat of a poker hub, especially when it comes to tournament action. Players and operators alike love it, as the city has so much to offer beyond the felt as well.
Of course, PokerStars has had a central role in this development, with its EPT Barcelona becoming one of the hottest festivals of the year. Last year saw a massive turnout, and there is no doubt that Casino Barcelona will once more host thousands of players from all over Europe and beyond, eager to join the action in the hunt for big prizes and prestigious trophies.
The entire festival runs August 18 — 31. The first week is reserved for PokerStars Open events, while the EPT action officially kicks in on August 23. The €5,300 Main Event commences on August 24 and it will feature a full week of action, with the winner crowned on August 31.
Also on the menu are the €100k EPT Super High Roller, €10,300 EPT High Roller, €3,250 Mystery Bounty, and the aforementioned Spin & Go Championship Live.

Electrifying 3-Handed Action in Barcelona
After a successful debut in Prague last year, the PokerStars Spin & Go Championship Live is coming back this year, with Barcelona hosting the 81 players who manage to win their way to the final segment.
The event will take place August 30 — 31, featuring fast-paced, three-handed action, just like in the online version of these popular games. There will be 27 tables to begin with, and each table will continue until one player manages four wins.
The winners progress to round two, where there will be nine tables playing by the same rules. After that, the tournament gets down to just three tables, and then, down to one, final table of three.
What makes this event different from the rest of the EPT schedule (apart from the fun format) is the fact that there is no way to buy in directly. Instead, the final 81 players will be the ones who secured their seats via leaderboards that have been running since June 23 (and will continue until August 4).
Winners of individual leaderboards (available across four different stake levels, giving all players a fair chance to get involved) are awarded packages that include accommodation, €570 toward travel and transportation costs, and entry into the Spin & Go Championship Live with over €275,000 in prizes up for grabs and €100,000 for the winner.
EPT Barcelona Is Just Around the Corner
With the 2025 World Series of Poker now in the rearview mirror, it’s time for players to turn their heads toward other opportunities, and the EPT Barcelona certainly comes very high on that list.
Featuring almost two full weeks of action, buy-ins to fit almost every bankroll, and a variety of online qualifiers to help you secure your seat, this is one of the must-play festivals for serious grinders and casual fans of live tournaments alike.
There is still more than enough time to qualify online and maybe even get one of the final few spots to the Spin & Go Championship Live. Don’t miss out on your chance to play some poker in the Mediterranean and create memories that will last you a lifetime.
