Players who have had their GGPoker accounts banned will have an opportunity to have that decision reversed thanks to the new Olive Branch program. Through this initiative, the operator is giving previously banned players a chance to present their case, show that they have changed and evolved, and are deserving of having their playing privileges restored.
The initiative was announced a few days ago, and those looking to participate have a short window, as applications must be sent by October 1, 2025. All applications will be carefully reviewed and examined, and the applicants will be notified about the decision by November 1.
Every appeal will be reviewed individually with no guarantees that the original decision will be overturned. It is up to players to provide an explanation and make a case as to why they should be allowed back.

How to Participate in GGPoker’s Olive Branch Program
GGPoker is extending its ‘peace’ offer to all players whose accounts were banned at some point. To take advantage of this opportunity, you should do the following:
- Send an email to security@ggnetwork.com from the email address attached to your GGPoker account
- Make the subject of your email Olive Branch Application
- In the email body, include your application with the following info:
- GGPoker account nickname
- Full name
- Full explanation of why you’re requesting your account to be reinstated
- Recent proof of identity, proof of address, and a selfie holding your proof of identity
As mentioned earlier, the application must be sent no later than October 1, and there is no guarantee that your account will be reinstated. The operator’s team will review each application based on the time passed, the circumstances of the original infraction that led to the ban, and the applicant’s commitment to change.
According to GGPoker, while they stay dedicated to maintaining a safe and fair environment for all players, this latest initiative demonstrates their openness to redemption and providing second chances for those who genuinely deserve them.
Yet Another Opportunity
This isn’t the first time that GGPoker has reached out to the community and offered a chance at redemption for previously banned players. In fact, this is a third wide-scope initiative of such nature.
The first time around, it happened in August 2020, when the operator offered a two-week window for banned players to submit their reinstatement application. At this time, the site also provided a detailed clarification on its stance regarding different types of professional players.
The second window of opportunity came about two years later, in 2022, right before the operator’s WSOP Online series. This particular initiative was seemingly geared more toward the high-stakes segment of the community.
Now, GGPoker is extending that olive branch once again, giving all players a chance to show they have changed, evolved, and moved past their previous mistakes.
Details about how the whole process works and how decisions will be made remain under wraps. As for the poker community, this is always a divisive issue, as some believe that someone caught cheating can never be trusted again, and they shouldn’t be given any leniency.
Others are of the opinion that people are capable of change and that not all infractions, even if they were ban-worthy, are equally serious.
For GGPoker, maintaining healthy player traffic is important, so allowing some players back in, provided they can show they can be trusted to adhere to the rules, makes sense.
The operator has an experienced team working behind the scenes and access to all the information they need to make sound decisions for every individual applicant, so, despite some skepticism, the safety of the online poker community at large should be in good hands.
