Comedian vs. Comedian Action

Headlining the upcoming Big Game lineup is Tony Hinchcliffe, an American comedian and host of popular podcast show ‘Kill Tony.’

Hinchcliffe may be the most popular comedian at the Big Game table, but he won’t be the only one, as this series Loose Cannon, Scott Gaughan, is in the same line of work. The aspiring Comedian from Canada usually hosts comedy game shows at corporate events, but his appearance on the Big Game on Tour will be no laughing matter.

Like before, the Loose Cannon will be staked $50,000, and they’ll get to play 150 hands. At the end of the session, any profit he makes over the initial $50,000 is his to keep. But looking at the rest of the lineup, making any profit won’t be an easy task.

Cash Game Experts in the Mix

Every Big Game session features a few top-tier pros, but this time around, we are in for a special treat, as the pro lineup consists of Doug Polk, Antonio ‘The Magician’ Esfandiari, and Esther Taylor.

Polk is a heads-up specialist and ring games aren’t actually his strongest suit, but he gathered a lot of experience in recent years, primarily playing at The Lodge, a popular poker club in Texas. He is also Tony’s main connection with poker.

Doug and Tony played a heads-up match where Polk staked $20,000 against a chance to appear for a one-minute segment on Hinchcliffe’s show. Although the poker pro lost the first match, they agreed to go for double or nothing, and Polk won the second time, winning his spot on the show.

Antonio Esfandiari is an absolute legend, and live cash games are exactly where he feels at home the most. While The Magician is always a great presence at the table and one of the most entertaining people you could ask for in your game, he’ll have no issues taking the money off of the Loose Cannon.

Esther Taylor is a mixed game specialist, but her vast amount of experience on the felt makes her a very dangerous opponent nonetheless.

But the producers always try to make things interesting and somewhat balanced. In addition to one comedian and three sharks, Scott Gaughan will also have the poker-loving reality star Princess Love at his table.

It’s Show Time

Looking at the lineup, one thing we can say with a fair amount of certainty is that the new Big Game series will be a lot of fun to watch. With Polk, Esfandiari, and a couple of professional comedians at the same table, we should get some pretty juicy banter from start to finish.

When it comes to poker, we know that Antonio is no stranger to some of the craziest moves ever seen on the felt. Polk can get quite splashy with his chips, especially after a couple of adult beverages. In that setup, the Loose Cannon should get a fair few opportunities to increase his initial stake.

Make sure to tune in this Sunday as the action gets underway once more on the PokerStars Big Game on Tour and another Loose Cannon embarks on a journey of a lifetime. Can Scott Gaughan defy the odds? We’ll find out soon enough!
