Online poker giant GGPoker is bringing back its flagship online tournament series, the GG World Festival, and this year’s edition offers more of everything players have come to expect: bigger prize pools, a wider schedule, and plenty of opportunities across all stakes.
Running from May 3 through June 9, the festival features $300 million in guaranteed prize money, spread over hundreds of tournaments.
It’s a number that immediately grabs attention, but the real appeal lies in how that prize money is distributed. This is not just a top-heavy series built around a few headline events; it’s a full schedule designed to keep players engaged from start to finish.
One of the key strengths of the GG World Festival is its tiered buy-in structure. Events are split across four levels, starting at $3 for the low tier, moving up to $26 for medium, $151 for high, and $1,050 for the super tier. Each tier offers a similar lineup of formats and structures, so players can access comparable tournaments at any buy-in level.
Across the board, each tier includes hundreds of tournaments, combining single-flight events with phased tournaments that run multiple starting days. Those phased events are a big part of the series, giving players more flexibility in how they approach the schedule and multiple chances to build a stack before Day 2.
Like last year, the series is accompanied by a $3 million leaderboard promotion, with prizes distributed across all buy-in tiers.

Big Events and Plenty of Variety
At the top end of the schedule, three standout phased tournaments anchor the series, each carrying $10 million in guarantees. The $525 World Bounty Festival blends a large prize pool with progressive knockout action, while the $10,000 GGMillion$ Main Event is expected to draw some of the toughest fields of the entire festival. The $1,500 GG World Championship rounds out the trio, sitting between the other two in terms of buy-in while still offering a prize pool in eight figures.
These events are spread out across the series, giving players time to plan their runs and take multiple shots through the various Day 1 flights. That structure has proven popular in past editions, especially among players who prefer a bit more flexibility rather than a single-entry format.
Beyond the headline tournaments, there’s depth everywhere in the schedule. The $150 GGWF Mystery Closer, with $5 million guaranteed, is likely to be one of the most talked-about events thanks to its mystery bounty format, where knockout prizes are only revealed after they are won. The $55 World Festival Classic offers a more traditional setup but still comes with a prize pool north of $2 million.
GGPoker continues to lean into a mix of formats, and that shows throughout the series. Players can expect standard No-Limit Hold’em events alongside bounty tournaments, mystery bounty formats, and multi-flight events. The mystery bounty format, in particular, has gained traction in recent years, adding an extra layer of unpredictability and keeping players involved deep into tournaments.
There are also events catering to Asian players, including tournaments priced in Chinese Yuan. One of the highlights here is the Zodiac Asia Championship, which pairs a relatively accessible buy-in with a strong guarantee, making it an attractive option for players in that market.
For those chasing bigger scores, the series delivers in volume. There are 40 tournaments with guarantees of at least $1 million, and notably, most of them are single-flight events. That means fewer second chances compared to phased tournaments, but it also keeps the format straightforward for players who prefer a more traditional structure.
The GG World Festival has built a strong track record in a short period of time. The inaugural edition in 2023 paid out $239 million, setting the tone for what followed. In 2024, the series expanded significantly, distributing $331 million across more than 1,600 tournaments. The 2025 edition came close to matching that, with $324 million paid out over 1,419 events. Across its first three runs, the festival has already awarded nearly $900 million in total prize money.
