The rapidly growing WPT Global online poker platform has just expanded its tournament offering with two brand-new Sunday events. Dubbed Grand Prix Europe Opener, the two events are scheduled to play on Sundays and carry guaranteed prize pools of $7.5k and $3k, respectively.

The two new tournaments have been added to a recently reimagined tournament schedule, which now includes a variety of Daily Crown events that offer affordable buy-ins and sizable guarantees across the board.

With all the daily and weekly tournaments combined, WPT Global now represents one of the top options for tournament grinders from international markets, as the events continue to attract growing entrant numbers and create expanding prize pools.

WPT Grand Prix Europe Opener Brings New Opportunities

The tournament schedule at WPT Global has already been expanded over the course of 2026, with a number of exciting events added to the daily calendar across a range of buy-ins.

The two most recent additions to the schedule are both called WPT Grand Prix Europe Opener and are both available exclusively on Sundays.

The lower buy-in version of the tournament carries a buy-in of just $22 and a $3,000 guaranteed prize pool. Ten-minute blind levels and 200 big blind starting stacks make the tournament an ideal option for real grinders looking for some deep-stack play.

The higher buy-in version of WPT Grand Prix Europe Opener has a buy-in of $220, making it slightly more restrictive in terms of entry fee. Players in this one get even more play, as the blinds escalate every 12 minutes, and the same 200 big blind stack is awarded to players on level one.

Both tournaments are on the schedule for Sundays at 07:05 PM CET, and are estimated to last just under 6 hours on average. WPT Global is running satellites to their new flagship events, with a $22 buy-in satellite giving you a shot to play in the $220 WPT Grand Prix Europe.
