Established in 2015, Triton Poker is a series of upscale events with high buy-ins taking place all over the world. Envisioned by Paul Phua and Richard Yong, wealthy businessmen and passionate poker players, Triton Poker aims to deliver an upscale experience for elite poker players in every way.
The very first Triton event took place in 2016 in the Philippines. From there, the series continued to grow, and today it features several events taking place every year at destinations like Jeju (South Korea), Macau, Montenegro, Monaco, Madrid, Cyprus, and more.
Over nearly a decade, Triton Poker has grown into a global brand that attracts elite poker players, wealthy enthusiasts who can afford steep buy-ins, and a worldwide audience enjoying the completely free coverage of tournaments and nosebleed cash games.
In 2025, the series expanded with the launch of *Triton One*—a series that mirrors the main series in everything but buy-ins. Triton One features more affordable tournament entries, aiming to significantly expand the player pool and allow players who can’t afford six and seven-figure buy-ins to get a taste of the Triton experience.
For 2026, Triton Poker has announced only the first few stops, with more events to be revealed at a later date. As of now, the 2026 Triton Poker Series schedule comprises three stops.

Keeping up with the times, the Triton Poker series launched the Triton Poker Plus app. The app is available for Android and iPhone users for free, and it gives players and fans alike wide access to stats for all participating players, tournament announcements and schedules, and the ability to watch all Triton Poker content.
Both the app and the content, including raw streams and edited episodes of select tournaments and cash game sessions, are completely free. Triton aims to create an enjoyable experience available to all poker fans out there. They don’t put anything behind a paywall, and the Triton Poker Plus app is there to help streamline the experience.
Triton Poker tournaments and cash games are streamed live and are available for later viewing on their YouTube and Twitch channels. All content is offered completely free of charge, and this isn’t likely to change going forward, as it is at the very core of what the brand is all about.
On one hand, Triton aims to gather the best of the poker elite and rich poker enthusiasts who want to try their skills against these players. On the other hand, Triton aims to allow fans worldwide to see and experience those battles, operating under a slogan “This is more than a game. It’s a movement.”
Thanks to this approach, Triton Poker managed to spread brand awareness and become one of the biggest names in the world of live poker. While the Triton Poker Series may not be for everyone to play in, it is certainly for everyone to enjoy.
In 2025, Triton announced the launch of Triton One, a more affordable tour that stays true to all the original values but features significantly lower buy-ins, making it more accessible to the general player pool.
The inaugural Triton One series took place in Jeju in September, featuring a schedule of 15 events, with buy-ins starting as low as $2,000. The Main Event came with a price tag of just $8,000, and the series attracted an impressive number of players who wanted to experience the prestige of this elite competition.
The Main Event title went to Joshua Gebissa, who pocketed $975,225, taking the lion’s share of the overall $7.6 million prize pool. Players can expect more Triton One stops in the near future.
Triton Poker was created by Richard Yong and Paul Phua, wealthy businessmen and great poker enthusiasts who wanted to build something special and unique catering to the high-roller poker scene that they’ve been a part of for many years.
The very first event of the new series took place in the Philippines, gathering the likes of Fedor Holz, Dan “Jungleman” Cates, and many more big names.
The tour is spearheaded by Andy Wong, the CEO. In addition to providing a high-level experience for players, it also focuses on creating high-quality content for poker fans worldwide.
There is also a charitable component to the series. Triton Impact (originally Triton for Charity) is dedicated to using the poker platform for a variety of philanthropic endeavors and creating a real impact on the world that goes well beyond the felt.
As a part of its charitable endeavors, the series hosted the Triton Million in 2019. With a buy-in of £1,050,000, this was the largest buy-in event in poker’s history. The tournament gathered 54 participants. Each buy-in saw £50,000 going toward various charities, and the event ended up raising £2.7 million on its own.
This was an invitational tournament, with one recreational player inviting one professional of their choosing. To begin with, recreational players and professionals were placed at separate tables. In the end, it was Aaron Zang who seized the day, but the second-place finisher, Bryn Kenney, took the largest share of the prize pool thanks to an ICM deal.
Kenney walked away with £16.9 million, while Zang pocketed £13.8 million. Other big names who got involved in Triton Million included Bill Perkins, Dan Smith, Stephen Chidwick, Tom Dwan, Paul Phua, Jason Koon, and more.
| Place | Player | Payout |

| 1st | Aaron Zang | £13,779,491 |
| 2nd | Bryn Kenney | £16,890,509 |
| 3rd | Dan Smith | £7,200,000 |
