WSOP+ AppThe WSOP+ app is making its debut at the 2025 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, and it will be a crucial part of the experience during the summer series.

Aiming to make things simpler, faster, and more streamlined, the WSOP Plus app is mandatory for all those looking to participate in any of the live WSOP events. Unlike the previous years, having the app installed on your phone and an active account is a must from 2025 onwards.

Although WSOP+ will make the overall experience better for all players, there are still some open questions as to what this means for the players, what exactly you can use the app for, and what are the main benefits. We answer all of those questions — and more on this page.

WSOP+ App Basics: What Is It?

Let’s first cover what WSOP Plus is and why the organizers decided to make it mandatory for all players.

The app will serve as the central hub for all your WSOP activities, allowing you to:

  • Register for & buy into tournaments
  • Check out virtual waiting lists & enable push notifications
  • Get the WSOP schedule, structure sheets, chip counts, and prizes
  • Enjoy curated content

We will explain the most important of these aspects in more detail in the next few sections, but what’s important to know is that you’ll have to have a registered WSOP+ account and the app installed on your phone to register for events, even if you’re doing it live at one of the cages.

This is a novelty that’s been introduced with the 2025 World Series of Poker, and while the entire process is fairly quick and simple, if you’re planning a Las Vegas trip this summer, you should probably take care of it before you head out so that you’re all set when you arrive at your destination.

WSOP Plus App Download & Registration

To get started with the WSOP+ app, you’ll first need to download it. The app is available for both Android and iOS devices, and you can get it from the official stores or, alternatively, visit the official wsopplus.com site and follow the instructions there.

The download and installation process is the same as for any other official app, so it’ll take a couple of minutes for it to start. After that, you can proceed to create your account.

If you already have an existing GGPass account (i.e., if you have an active GGPoker account), you can log in with your existing user and password combination, and that account is automatically linked to your GGPoker profile, so any live WSOP tickets you may have won via online satellites will be available.

Alternatively, you can also create a fresh account using an email address that’s not linked to GGPoker or log in with your social media profile (Google or Facebook).

Once inside, you’ll need to go through a two-step online verification process, which includes:

  • Electronically signing a WSOP waiver form
  • Connecting your WSOP+ profile to your Caesar’s Rewards account

You’ll need to link your account to your Caesar’s Rewards number by entering the number and your surname, which will pull your personal information from Caesars. Players who played in WSOP events before should have one already. If you don’t, you can quickly create one at any Caesar’s property or even online.

For first-time players, you probably don’t have a Caesar’s Rewards account, so it’s up to you to decide what route to take. In-person registration is pretty quick, and you can do it at any of the rewards’ desks across many Las Vegas properties owned by Caesar’s, so this is nothing to worry about either way.

One-Time In-Person Verification

While most of what needs doing can be done online, all players will need to complete a one-time in-person verification process.

You’ll be able to complete this step at the Online Registration area at Paris Las Vegas. The area is located at the Champagne Ballroom inside the convention center.

To verify your WSOP+ account, you’ll need to present the staff with a valid picture ID, such as a passport, driver’s license, state or military ID card, or alien registration card.

Your document mustn’t be expired at the time of verification and it needs to show the address you entered in the app. If the ID doesn’t show your address, you’ll need to provide an accompanying document, such as a utility bill or a credit card statement, to complete the process.

Registering for Tournaments With WSOP+

One of the biggest advantages offered by the WSOP+ app is the ability to register for your target tournaments online, skipping the lines.

Before you can begin, you’ll need to complete the verification step, but once that’s done, you’ll have the option to enter all WSOP events from inside the app.

There is a quality selection of payment methods on offer, namely:

  • ACH (for US players)
  • Credit cards
  • Luxon Pay
  • PayPal
  • Paris Tournament Accounts (funded at WSOP cage_
  • WSOP Online Qualifier tickets

So, those who won their entries into live events via online satellites at WSOP Online or GGPoker will be able to connect their poker site accounts and utilize any tickets available to them for registration, which is a really neat addition.

As for the Paris Tournament Account, you can open one separately and fund it in cash or via a direct bank transfer. However, when using the latter option, there is a $100k minimum. Once your account is funded and connected to your WSOP+, you can use that money to enter tournaments.

Most methods do not entail transaction fees, but WSOP will charge a 3% fee for players who use credit cards to buy into events.

Once you buy into the event, you can proceed straight to the table and use the ticket in the app to claim your seat, or alternatively, you can pick up a printed ticket at a cage to take with you.

Other WSOP+ App Features: Seating, Chip Counts, Prizes, and More

The WSOP Plus app will streamline the overall series experience in more ways than just allowing players to skip waiting lines and register for desired events online.

For large tournaments that feature alternates, players will have an opportunity to register, turn on notifications, and leave the area. Once their number is up, the app will send through a push notification, letting them know they should head to the tables.

This is a very neat feature, which will allow players to utilize their time in Las Vegas better, saving them from having to stand in lines for a long time or constantly checking how things are progressing.

The app will also feature important information about all ongoing and upcoming tournaments, such as:

  • Structure sheets & rules
  • Seating information for all tournaments
  • Chip counts for remaining players
  • Prize pools as they are published
  • Tournament clocks for all ongoing events
  • Curated WSOP content

So, essentially, you will have all the information about everything happening at the World Series of Poker in the palm of your hand, saving you time and unnecessary frustration, and allowing you to better plan your entire stay.
