In an email obtained by pokerfuse, QuickTender, also known as UseMyWallet, informed customers that “to the best of their knowledge” certain withdrawals have been seized by the US Attorney’s Office, and that the company does not have “financial resources to make good these funds.”

In late May, QT/UMW, a popular US-facing e-wallet, closed its doors soon after the events of Blue Monday. Prior to closure QT reported funds had been frozen in transit from their European banks to US intermediary banks.

The email send out this week continues:

However, you will be a valid claimant of a proportion of overall funds seized you can file a claim with the court. You can check as well each day on the website www.forfeiture.gov searching under Chargestream for the notice to be posted.

To those who still have positive balances in their e-wallet, the email states that customers would be advised on how to make withdrawals in the future. Earlier in June, QuickTender recommended that customers should open European bank accounts to facilitate withdrawal.

The notice, now available on forfeiture.gov, lists two ChargeStream accounts amongst those seized. ChargeStream is linked to UMW/QT through the EcoCard online payment processor.

The contents of ABN AMRO Bank NV Acct No. XXXXXX7787 in the name of Chargestream Ltd Acct# 0242087787 (11-ICE-001100) which was seized from ABN AMRO Bank NV on May 20, 2011 at Head Office, Gustav Mahlerlaan 10, located in Amsterdam.

Any person claiming a legal interest in the seized funds has until August 16 to file a claim.
