The poker world is anticipating the start of the 2023 World Series of Poker in just over a month, but WSOP is about more than just the big bracelet series in Las Vegas.
Running throughout the year, the WSOP Circuit (WSOP-C) brings rich action and hardware to local casinos worldwide, and poker players in London, UK, will have the chance at Circuit rings following the main Vegas series.
The WSOP is about more than just summer bracelets. Throughout the year, the operator runs the WSOP-C, bringing the Series from Vegas to a casino near you. With the big summer series on the horizon, the 2022/23 season is ending, and plans are beginning for the 2023/24 season, kicking off in London on July 27.
While the details of the first stop on the 2023/24 Circuit tour are still a bit sparse, the series will run from July 27 through August 13 at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel in London. It will be headlined by a £3300 Main Event in the first return to London for the WSOP in over a decade.
As the series approaches, online satellites will be hosted by partner GGPoker. The exclusive partnership will allow players worldwide to play for WSOP-C London tickets for a fraction of the price.
New Circuit Season Dawns
The big bracelet series in Las Vegas marks the end of one Circuit season and the beginning of the next. The proceedings in London mark the open salvos of the 2023/24 WSOP-C season, and while the Circuit begins in London, players worldwide can expect to see a Circuit Series in a casino near them during the next season.
While the schedule is yet to be announced, the previous season included stops in the Netherlands, Canada, the Caribbean, the UK, Senegal, Morocco, and the Czech Republic, in addition to multiple spots in the US and elsewhere around the world. It seems fair to guess the 23/24 season will have a similar international flavor.
While the Circuit has been no stranger to the UK in recent years, the London stop to start the new season marks the first return to the UK capital since 2010. In addition to the £3300 Main Event, Colossus, Mystery Bounty, and high-roller games have been announced for the opening series.

Concluding 2022/23 Business
The London event in late July marks the beginning of the 2023/24 season on the Circuit, but there is still some business to conclude in the 2022/23 season before the big games get underway in Las Vegas at the end of May.
Among the stops remaining on the calendar are the Netherlands, two stops in the US, and a second stop in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, to start May.
Beginning on May 3, the city on the Canadian prairies hosts its second Circuit event of the season and its fourth since the initial running in 2022 broke local attendance and prize pool records. The last running in January 2023 was even more impressive, smashing the local records with more than $2.1 million in total prizes for the Main Event alone.
Hosted at Deerfoot Inn & Casino in Calgary, WSOP-C Calgary runs from May 3 through May 15 with 13 rings on offer.
