September is here, which means it is almost time for US online poker players to compete for coveted US Championship of Online Poker (USCOOP) prizes. There is $4.5 million guaranteed across the three PokerStars US jurisdictions, with the action kicking off one week from today, on September 9, in all states and running until September 26.
With the summer coming to a close and the school year about to start, the poker world is thinking about the USCOOP and big prizes in Championship events. Of the $4.5 million guaranteed, nearly $2.2 million is guaranteed by PokerStars US in events branded as “Championship” Events.
While there are over 60 events each in New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, fewer than 20 of those are designated as state championship games. The median buy-in for Championship events is $200 ($250 in NJ), so many of them are reasonably priced for many bankrolls.
Depending on where you live, you can get into a Championship game for as little as $25, and, across the jurisdictions, there will be USCOOP events priced as low as $20. All three states have at least one game for $1,000.

Three States of Action
With $4.5 million guaranteed across three states of action, the 2022 USCOOP is ready to go with juicy value. The guarantees for each state vary, with PA coming in the highest at $2 million. PA will also have the most Championship events, with 19 games worth more than $1 million in guarantees.
However, NJ and MI are not left out in the cold, with $1 million and $1.5 million guaranteed in each state. NJ has more than $400k in Championship guarantees, while MI players will compete for more than $650k in Championship prizes.
Each state has a couple of very juicy-looking Championship games. In PA and MI, the Sunday Championship on September 11 looks particularly juicy, while NJ players should look to the Mini NJ Championship for the best value for money.
