The 2023 WSOP Online has officially been announced, and we now have all the dates and details of the series that is set out to dish out at least $60 million in prizes and 33 gold bracelets. While big prize pools and bracelets are exciting, they were fully expected. What we could not anticipate is the $2,000,000 in cash that GGPoker plans to giveaway during the series via Continental Freerolls.
If you are wondering what these freerolls are, how they work, how many of them will take place, and how exactly you can get your hands on a portion of that cool $2 million, we have all the answers right here.
- Running August 20 – October 2, 2023
- $25,000,000 GTD in the Main Event
- Buy-ins starting as low as $100
- $2,000,000 in extra value with Continental Freerolls
All Participants Welcome
Continental Freerolls is an interesting twist that provides some additional value for the players. There will be 33 of these tournaments in total, one for each bracelet-awarding event, with individual prize pools going as high as $100,000.
So, how do you qualify for one of these? It is really easy, as you only have to participate in WSOP Online events. The rest is out of your hands. Whether you qualify for the freeroll connected to that particular event will depend on whether the winner is from your continental group.
At the start of the series, all players will be assigned one of four regions based on the nationality in their account. If you enter a tournament and someone from your region wins, you will automatically qualify for the relevant Continental Freeroll.
Freerolls take place one week after the qualifying bracelet event concludes. You do not have to take any actions if you qualify for a seat, as you will be registered automatically, and there will be a message in your GGPoker client to let you know about the upcoming event.
The operator will give out a total of $2,000,000 in prizes, with winners of individual events receiving cash and tournament packages.
Four Continental Leaderboards Offering WSOP Paradise Packages
There is even more value up for grabs with the online 2023 WSOP series, as the ultimate winner of each regional group will receive a WSOP Paradise package worth $35,000. The four groups that players will be competing in are:
- Asia Pacific
The player posting the best results after all bracelet events have been completed within their group will top the leaderboard and receive a WSOP Paradise package consisting of a $25,000 buy-in for the GGMillion$ High Rollers tournament ($10M guaranteed) and $10,000 to cover luxury accommodation in the Bahamas.

2023 WSOP Online Set to Break Records
These freebies are just ‘extras,’ but most players will not need too much incentive to get involved with the series set to kick off on August 20. With $60,000,000 up for grabs and the Main Event alone guaranteeing $25,000,000, there are more than enough reasons to join the action.
Those with smaller bankrolls will still have plenty of tournaments to choose from, as buy-ins start from $100, and there are also numerous satellites to win your way into larger events.
Participating in any bracelet event will also give you a chance to qualify for a Continental Freeroll, provided someone from your group ends up winning the whole thing.
