There will be one WSOP bracelet up for grabs for players in Michigan. The online bracelet championship event will take place on October 15 and guarantee $150,000. The paired back schedule to one event, down from six last year, can no doubt be put down to the low turn out in 2022 — with the operator deciding for a much more modest offering in 2023.
For players in Pennsylvania, they will be following Michigans offering. One bracelet is available on October 15, with the WSOP guaranteeing $150,000 in prize money. Last year the WSOP offered players the chance to win 6 bracelets in the ring-fenced market but turn out was lower than expected — hence the paired back schedule for this 2023 edition.
GGPoker Ontario is running its online WSOP 2023 series from August 20 to October 2 — just like in the international market. Ontario online poker players can expect a much more modest schedule than rest-of-world players, but there’s still plenty of action to get players excited.
GGPoker Ontario is awarding seven WSOP online bracelets this year, while the Millionaire Maker in Paradise tournament will conclude live in the Bahamas in December as part of WSOP Paradise. The $1,000 Main Event that plays out towards the end of September features a very respectable prize pool of C$500,000.
The online tournaments have various satellites running around the clock and buy-ins are quite reasonable. Players will find $25 and $33 satellites to the $300 Gladiators Opener and $210 Mystery Millions on the GGPoker Ontario app, with more to be added shortly.

A new tournament to watch out for is the C$2,023 (USD $1500) Millionaire Maker in Paradise. This is a unique event that WSOP has made available on the Ontario platform as well as on WSOP NJ/NV and GGPoker international. It follows a unique “onlive” or hybrid format consisting of two stages — one live and one online.
The first segment will take place entirely online. On the global platform, the tournament will play down to 100 players, while in NJ/NV and Ontario, the event will halt when there are just nine players remaining. These 118 will meet in the Bahamas in December at the inaugural WSOP Paradise to play to the winner, who will take home the bracelet and the lion’s share of the massive USD $5 (C$6.7) million prize pool.
All those who make it to the final stage will receive an invitation to the Bahamas, where they will get VIP accommodation at the Atlantis Resort and free lunch for ten days, allowing for an epic conclusion to this unique tournament.

GGPoker is hosting Continental Freerolls, giving away $2 million throughout the series. Whenever a player wins a bracelet event, all participants from that player’s assigned continental group will be automatically registered for a Continental Freeroll. These freerolls, taking place a week after the corresponding WSOP bracelet event concludes, offer prizes up to $100,000 and also includes packages for WSOP’s new winter stop, WSOP Paradise.
The nationality that a player submits when creating their GGPoker account determines their continent. For non-participants, their continent is determined by their country. Four “continents” have been assigned — the Americas, Europe, the Mediterranean, and Asia Pacific.

On top of the $2 million freerolls, GGPoker will also run Continental Leaderboards, where top players of each of the four continental leaderboards will win a $35,000 VIP Package to the 2023 WSOP Paradise in the Bahamas in December.
