A few days back, GGPoker released the full 2023 WSOP Online series schedule, announcing as many as 33 events. We expected GGPoker Ontario would shortly follow suit, and we were not wrong, as the operator has just announced that Ontarians will have several opportunities to compete online for coveted WSOP gold bracelets from the comfort of their homes.
The series will take place concurrently with the ROW (rest of world) WSOP Online 2023, running from August 20 to October 2, but with fewer events on the schedule. All said and done, players of real money online poker in Ontario will have eight shots at a bracelet this year.
Tournament guarantees will be somewhat smaller compared to the global series, ranging from C$100,000 up to C$500,000 for the Main Event, but Ontarians will also have a chance to compete for their seat in the final stage of the $2,013 Millionaire Maker in Paradise event, one of the tournaments on the brand new 2023 WSOP Paradise schedule.

GGPoker Ontario 2023 WSOP Online Schedule
GGPoker Ontario will award seven online bracelets this year, while the Millionaire Maker in Paradise tournament will conclude in the Bahamas in December.
Regarding online tournaments, buy-ins are quite reasonable, and with various satellites available around the clock, everyone can get involved and fight for a piece of poker history.

The $1000 Main Event will be the highlight of the Ontario 2023 WSOP Online, featuring a very respectable prize pool of C$500,000. For an online event, the buy-in is somewhat pricey, but we expect the tournament will reach its guarantee regardless, as numerous starting flights and surrounding satellites will help boost the player numbers.

A Big Hybrid Event
One particularly interesting new tournament on the 2023 WSOP Ontario Online schedule is the C$2,023 (USD $1500) Millionaire Maker in Paradise. This is a unique event that WSOP has made available on WSOP NJ/NV and GGPoker international and Ontario platforms, designed in two stages.
The tournament has a $5,000,000 prize pool, but on the Ontario platform, it is shown in Canadian dollars, just like all other buy-ins and guarantees, so the guarantee Ontarian players will see in the lobby is C$6,722,000.
The first segment will take place entirely online. On the global platform, the tournament will play down to 100 players, while in NJ/NV and Ontario, the event will halt when there are just nine players remaining. These 118 will meet in the Bahamas in December at the inaugural WSOP Paradise to play to the winner, who will take home the bracelet and the lion’s share of the massive USD $5 (C$6.7) million prize pool.
All those who make it to the final stage will receive an invitation to the Bahamas, where they will get VIP accommodation at the Atlantis Resort and free lunch for ten days, allowing for an epic conclusion to this unique tournament.

Satellites Running Already
GGPoker Ontario has already rolled out a decent schedule of daily satellites, so players can start their journey towards the big 2023 WSOP Online Ontario series.
