Daniel Negreanu recently told PokerNews he sees WSOP Main Event winner Lucas Jumalon sticking around in the poker world.
Negreanu, a Poker Hall of Famer, praised both Jumalon’s poker ability and maturity off the table.
He said Jumalon reached out to him directly and left a strong impression:
“This kid, he reached out to me in DM, very mature, well beyond his years. Super respectful of my generation.”
Negreanu was impressed by Jumalon’s WSOP Main Event run, noting the young champ’s awareness of both game theory and table perception. According to Negreanu, Jumalon seems ready for the spotlight and could be a Main Event winner who sticks around.
