New Jersey Online Poker Revenues Continue Downward Trend in June

NJ regulated online poker revenue slides another 10 percent.

  • Figures released Monday by the New Jersey Division of Gambling Enforcement (DGE) point to a third consecutive month of revenue declines for online poker in the state.
  • The three regulated online poker operators in New Jersey took in $2,048,082 during June—which is 9.92% less than in May of this year. With June having one less day than May, the daily revenues reflect a slightly softer decrease of 6.92%.
  • Overall, internet gaming in New Jersey declined 9.17% from $10.47 million in May to $9.51 million in June.

Real Money Online Poker to Launch in California “Within Days”

California tribe challenges conventional thinking, moves forward with real money online poker in spite of legislative impasse.

  • The Iipay Nation of Santa Ysabel has launched the online poker site PrivateTable.com with the intention of offering real money play “within a matter of days.” according to Dave Vialpando, Chairman of the tribe’s gaming commission.
  • Only residents of California will be allowed to play for real money once those games go live. In addition, real money players must be physically located within the state and be at least 18 years of age.
  • “The Tribe supports the effort by the Legislature to enact interactive gambling legislation in the State, but has decided to rely on the tribal sovereignty and the provisions of the federal Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA) to offer I-poker from the Tribe’s reservation.”
