It is almost the end of October, and BetMGM has launched yet another sports-themed tournament series.
This time, the Fall Poker Showdown, which began last Sunday, is a smaller-scale series lasting just one week (October 26 — November 2) but featuring a massive $1 million guaranteed prize pool available to players from all of its three states: New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania.
As in previous editions, the series draws inspiration from America’s favorite pastime — Baseball — with creatively themed tournaments like “First Pitch,” “RBI,” and “Slider.”
A total of 37 tournaments make up the series, with buy-ins ranging from $25 to $500. At least four tournaments are held daily, with some days featuring five or six events. The series had a strong opening day last Sunday, drawing thousands of combined entries and awarding nearly a quarter of a million in prizes.
Many exciting tournaments remain on the schedule, including the daily $100 RBI C-Note featuring a $30,000 guarantee, as well as $50 and $250 buy-in events offering five-figure prize pools. The C-Note on Sunday, November 2, will feature a boosted $50,000 guarantee.
- Up to $100 in tournament tickets on top of the bonus
- Frequent MTT series with good guarantees
- Combined player pools in Michigan and New Jersey

Both Hold’em and Omaha tournaments are included in the lineup, along with one PLO8 event. As usual, there are a few PKOs, several turbo formats, and 40k stack tournaments, all allowing re-entries.
The series will reach its climax on Sunday, November 2, with two six-figure guaranteed events: the $250 Moonshot and the $500 Captain, each boasting $100,000 in prize money. The winners of these two headline events will also receive a customized BetMGM jersey and jacket, respectively.
Out of the 37 tournaments, 15 are designated as Jersey/Jacket Events, where champions will be awarded a custom BetMGM Baseball jersey or jacket in addition to their cash prize. Each item will be personalized with the winner’s screen name and event number. All high-profile tournaments, particularly those with buy-ins of $250 or more, are part of this exclusive promotion.
The series is also accompanied by two major promotions. The first is the leaderboard challenge, which will award $5,000 to the top performers once the final tournament concludes on the coming Sunday. Points are automatically calculated throughout the series based on players’ finishing positions and the number of entries plus re-entries. Players can track their rankings as the leaderboard updates after each event.
The second is a hybrid poker-casino promotion designed for those who also enjoy casino games. To qualify, players must opt in and participate in at least four Fall Poker Showdown tournaments between October 26 and November 2. Re-entries count toward the four-tournament requirement. Once completed, eligible players will receive a $15 casino bonus, subject to a 15x wagering requirement valid for seven days.
Online qualifiers are running throughout the series with buy-ins as low as $2 for the $25 entry events, making participation affordable for players across all bankroll levels.
PokerStars Fall Fest?
Rival operator PokerStars US, which has been relatively quiet, is also expected to launch a new tournament series soon. Although it skipped its annual COOP series in the traditional September–October slot, citing “platform upgrades” as the reason, PokerStars confirmed to pokerfuse that its next tournament series will run from November 21 to December 1.
At this stage, the nature of that upcoming series remains unclear, with the operator promising to share more details shortly. Around this same time last year, PokerStars hosted its Fall Fest Series, which typically runs from late November into early December.
It is possible that the Fall Fest Series could make a return this year; however, PokerStars’ recent wording suggests that it may instead introduce an entirely new series. More information is expected in the coming days.
Meanwhile, WSOP recently wrapped up its monthly Online Circuit series but continues to host online bracelet events, and BetRivers Poker successfully concluded its inaugural BetRivers Poker Championship, which awarded over $600,000 in prizes.
The Fall Poker Showdown on BetMGM Poker continues through November 2.
