BetRivers Poker has launched yet another tournament series for its players, and this time it’s one dedicated entirely to the bounty format.
The bounty format continues to gain popularity, which is why BetRivers Poker has rolled out what it calls the Gobbleknocker Series. It is the operator’s third tournament festival, following the Multi-State Summer Series that ran shortly after their expansion into three new states and the recently completed Championship Series.
The Gobbleknocker series begins on Black Friday (November 28) and runs for ten days, offering over $200,000 in guaranteed prize pools. The series is open to players from all the four states its operates in: Pennsylvania, Michigan, Delaware and West Virginia.
The schedule is straightforward with a modest number of events, totaling 26 in all, and each day includes at least two to three events, except for the final day, which features four.
Gobbleknocker Series Overview:
- Takes place from November 28 to December 7
- Over $200,000 in guaranteed prize money
- 26 events with Trophies for each winner
- $30,000 guaranteed Main Event
- Players can earn tickets through the Freeroll Frenzy promotion
Every tournament on the schedule will be played in the popular Progressive Knockout (PKO) format, allowing players to earn bounties right from the very start.
- The best online poker software in the US with the lowest cash game rake.
- Generous 100% deposit match bonus up to $1000 ($250 in Delaware)
- Now live for players in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Delaware & West Virginia!
Buy-ins remain fairly consistent across the schedule, with most days featuring $20, $50, and $100 price points, while some days include $200 events and even a $500 option. Each tournament carries a guarantee ranging from $3,000 to $30,000.
A few standout events include the $100 Haymaker, a special PKO tournament on November 29, where 70% of the buy-in is allocated to the bounty pool and it guarantees $10,000; a $200 Sunday Showdown on November 30 that boasts a $20,000 guarantee; and a $100 6-max Sparring Session on Monday, typically a quiet day for tournament grinders, that promises $10,000. On Tuesday, a $200 Prize Fight runs with a $12,500 guaranteed pool. There is also a $50 Speed Bag tournament on December 4 featuring a $4,000 guarantee, starting shallow with 50 big blinds for players who want fast action and a shot at quick winnings.
The final day delivers the biggest guarantees of the entire series, with four tournaments combining for $70,000 in prize money. These include the $100 Survivor that opens the day with a $15,000 guarantee, a $500 Heavyweight Fight with a $20,000 guarantee, the $200 Main Event offering $30,000, and the $50 Final Bell awarding a $5,000 guarantee.
Most of these tournaments will feature satellites leading up to the start times, and players can also earn satellite or direct entry tickets through the Freeroll Frenzy Promotion. This promotion, which launched on November 13 and runs until November 26, awards $10,000 in prizes through freerolls and distributes entry tickets to the Gobbleknocker Series. To gain access to these freerolls, players must complete basic tasks such as entering multiple tournaments with at least $2 buy-ins or $10 buy-ins and above.
While the series does not include leaderboard rewards, one of its highlights is that every single tournament awards a Trophy to the winner. The operator recently delivered trophies for its previous Championship Series, and they look impressively distinctive.
BetRivers Poker Listens to Its Players
Many online poker rooms gather feedback from players but struggle with consistent implementation. BetRivers Poker, however, not only listens to feedback but actively incorporates it. When the tentative schedule was shared on the “US Poker Community” Discord server, a couple of players suggested adding a Pot-Limit Omaha event and a higher-priced $500 tournament, both of which performed well in earlier series.
The operator acknowledged these suggestions as great shouts, and within a matter of days, the schedule expanded from 24 to 26 events, including both the PLO event and the $500 tournament.
This is just one example of how the operator prioritizes players and makes decisions rooted in their feedback. The operator’s staff frequently seeks input from players, even when introducing new offerings such as a $10/$20 cash game table. On its website, BetRivers Poker even maintains a dedicated page where users can vote on features they’d like to see, and several of these community-requested features have already been implemented after receiving votes.
One user on Discord praised the support team, saying, “Just throwing it out there again but really appreciate how engaged you guys are with addressing our feedback and interacting with the community.”
The site may have a smaller player pool compared to its larger competitors, but when it comes to player engagement and responsiveness, it stands near the top and genuinely embodies what Phil Galfond has advocated since day one.
