WPT Prime Cyprus Packages Up for Grabs
The $1,100 WPT Prime Cyprus Championship is scheduled to start on March 5, awarding a guaranteed prize pool of $1,000,000. The event will play out at the Chamada Prestige Hotel & Spa in Kyernia, one of the most luxurious properties in this part of the world.
In preparation for the event, WPT Global is running a series of satellites, with $110 satellites running every Sunday at 19:00 UTC and awarding $2,000 WPT Prime Cyprus packages made up of:
- $1,100 entry to the $1 Million GTD WPT Prime Cyprus Championship
- $900 in travel allowance
- $100,000 Golden Ticket
- Exclusive WPT Global merchandise
In addition to the $1,100 entry ticket to the WPT Prime Championship, satellite winners will receive $900 to cover their costs and a WPT Global merchandise package.
Each satellite winner will also receive a Golden Ticket, which guarantees an extra $100,000 cash prize if they are able to go all the way and win the Championship.
For players with more limited bankrolls, WPT Global is offering plenty of opportunities to qualify for less than $110, as feeder satellites start at the $1.10 price point, giving everyone a chance to compete.
There’s even more! WPT Global is running a series of Freeroll Satellites every Saturday, where players can win the $1,100 entry ticket without investing a dime.
All you need to do to qualify for the weekly satellite is log in to your WPT Global account on three different days during the week, or play any real money poker game.
Make a deposit of $50 to $99 to receive an extra freeroll ticket, or a deposit of over $100 to receive three freeroll tickets.
As WPT Prime Cyprus draws closer, WPT Global satellites to the event are likely to get more entries and offer even more opportunities to win the valuable packages and make your way to the Mediterranean paradise.
WPT Season Opens Strong at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, played host to the first stop of the 24th WPT season.
WPT Seminole Lucky Hearts Poker Open Championship drew a huge field of 1,229 players, all of whom paid the $3,500 entry fee, creating a prize pool of just under $4 million.
The top 154 players made the money, with a minimum payout of $6,400, nearly doubling the initial investment for those who made it past the finish line.
Among the ITM finishers were notable poker professionals like Jonathan Jaffe, Mike Vela, former WSOP Main Event champion Ryan Reiss, and WPT Player of the Year Brian Altman.
When all was said and done, it was Giuseppe Iadisernia who outplayed the field, winning $611k in the process, and taking his overall tournament poker winnings to over $3.5 million.
He was followed by Jorge Gomez ($395k), Thomas Boivin ($295k), Martines Adeniya ($220k), Anotoly Nikitin ($167k), and Eddie Blumenthal ($127k), all of whom earned six-figure payouts in the first WPT event of the year.
The WPT season continues with WPT Championship and WPT Prime Championship events in Cambodia, while American players get another chance at glory at the WPT Venetian Las Vegas Spring Championship in late February.
Satellites for these WPT festivals can also be found at WPT Global, ClubWPT, and ClubWPT Gold, respectively.
