With just days left before the 2026 European Poker Tour (EPT) kicks off in Paris, PokerStars has just revealed the next wave of live tournaments for 2026.

Among these is EPT Barcelona, traditionally the operator’s most successful European live stop, and PokerStars Open Malaga, which will seek to bring the appeal of PokerStars live events to an even wider audience with its affordable buy-ins.

These events will join the previously advertised and announced tournament festivals like EPT Paris, Irish Poker Open, EPT Monte Carlo, and PokerStars Open Namur, in this year’s edition of PokerStars Live League—a year-long competition that will award hundreds of thousands of Euros to the top performers.

EPT Barcelona Is Back In Its Summer Slot

PokerStars has proudly announced the return of EPT Barcelona in August 2026, as the operator brings back its historically most successful live tournament festival from August 16 to 29.

As usual, the festival will be headlined by the €5,300 EPT Main Event, traditionally the biggest tournament on the Tour, with events like the €550 Women’s Championship and the €1,650 PokerStars Open Barcelona, both likely to draw a huge turnout as well.

Last season, EPT Barcelona Main Event saw a total of 2,045 entries, with Frenchman Thomas Eychenne eventually walking away with the trophy and the €1,426,900 first-place prize following a deal with Romanian Sebastian Ionita, who took home €1,309,670.

The tournament will once again seek to make new millionaires, as thousands of players are expected to descend upon the Catalonian capital this summer in pursuit of both poker glory and an enjoyable vacation.

PokerStars Open Malaga Will Be the Perfect Warm-Up Event

Alongside the 2026 EPT Barcelona, PokerStars also announced the return of PokerStars Open Malaga, an event that made its debut in 2025 with great success.

Hosted once again by Casino Torrequebrada, Malaga, from June 22 to 28, PokerStars Open Malaga will be available to an even greater number of poker players, featuring the €1,650 PokerStars Open Main Event with a €1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.

The festival will feature a total of 15 events with affordable buy-ins across the board, while the atmosphere away from the tables will be heated, as players enjoy their days basking in the Malaga sun and their nights celebrating in one of the world’s most exciting venues.

PokerStars Live League Is Starting to Heat Up

Earlier this year, PokerStars announced the return of the PokerStars Live League, a year-long live tournament leaderboard that was first introduced for the 2025 PokerStars Live season.

Once again, players will get a chance to accumulate leaderboard points across all EPT and PokerStars Open events in 2026, with more than €150,000 in prizes reserved for the top finishers in each of the leaderboard’s three buy-in tiers.

The top 30 finishers in each tier will also get to enter a €100,000 freeroll, scheduled to play out in early 2027, which will be another incentive to compete in PokerStars Live events throughout the year.

Here is a look at all upcoming PokerStars events already announced that will contribute points towards the 2026 PokerStars Live League:

  • EPT Paris (Feb 18 – Mar 1): PokerStars’ first EPT stop of the year will play out at Le Palais des Congres in Paris and host the next edition of the Spin & Go Championship Live.
  • Irish Poker Open (Mar 26 – Apr 6): Co-sponsored by PokerStars and PaddyPower, the Irish Open is the world’s biggest standalone poker festival.
  • EPT Monte Carlo (Apr 30 – May 10): The next edition of EPT takes the players to Europe’s gambling capital.
  • PokerStars Open Namur (May 27 – Jun 7): PokerStars returns to Belgium’s top poker venue for another exciting tournament festival.
  • PokerStars Open Malaga (Jun 22 – 28): The Spanish paradise hosts the next stop of PokerStars Open in anticipation of EPT Barcelona.
  • EPT Barcelona (Aug 16 – 29): The crowning jewel of PokerStars’ summer schedule, EPT Barcelona is expected to break attendance records once again.

Stay Tuned for Even More Action

PokerStars has traditionally revealed its live tournament schedule in stages throughout the year, keeping players on their toes and leaving us in anticipation of the next big thing.

The same is true this year, as the 2026 PokerStars Live schedule remains incomplete, with further events for the fall and winter set to be announced over the coming months.

The operator is already offering a variety of online satellites for all currently announced events, which you can compete in via the PokerStars online platform on a daily basis.
