The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has announced that the 2026 WSOP Europe, which will be held in Prague, will feature a brand-new €1,000 Ladies Championship event.

The Ladies Championship is scheduled to take place on April 4, in the midst of the WSOPE festival, just as the historic €10,000,000 guaranteed WSOPE Main Event takes off.

The tournament will be open exclusively to female poker players, and is aimed at growing the popularity of women in poker and promoting a competitive poker environment for women on the world’s biggest stage.

The Champion Will Receive a Unique WSOP Bracelet

The 2026 WSOPE is set to be a turning point in the event’s history. For the first time ever, the festival will be hosted in Prague, and the WSOP is looking to make it bigger and better than ever before.

A combination of a new attractive venue in a major European city and the €10,000,000 guarantee on the Main Event is nearly destined to make the prestigious festival a great success.

The WSOP decided to make the affair even more grand by introducing the WSOPE Ladies Championship to the schedule, and to celebrate the champion, it will be giving away a unique WSOP bracelet unlike any that can be won in other events.

The 2026 Ladies Championship bracelet will feature a unique design and additional gemstones, with the goal of celebrating the champion and giving them a piece of poker hardware that will immortalize their win in this unique event.

WSOP’s CEO, Ty Stewart, said: “As we enter a new era for WSOP Europe in Prague, it was essential that our schedule reflected the full spectrum of the poker community. The Ladies Championship is always one of the most spirited and competitive environments of the summer in Las Vegas, and we are thrilled to bring that same energy and prestige to the heart of Europe.”

Female Poker Stars Come Out in Force

Ladies Championship events are known to draw a crowd that includes many big names, and the inaugural WSOPE Ladies Championship has already built up quite a lot of interest.

According to the WSOP, the first player to register for the 2026 WSOPE Ladies Championship was Mackenzie Dern, a UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion, who will represent the recreational players from the world of entertainment and business at the event.

A number of recognizable professional poker players have also committed to playing in the tournament, including Vanessa Kade, Leo Margets, Kitty Kuo, Shina Okamoto, and Kasey Lyn Mills, all poker champions in their own right.

Poker players and influencers like Abby Merk, Ashley Frank, and Andrijana Gligoric (Lijapoker) have all shown interest and are likely to participate in the Ladies Championship as well.

With live poker in Europe booming in recent years, and more female players getting involved with the game than ever before, we can expect the €1,000 WSOPE event to be a major success.

The 2026 WSOPE Is Set to Break Records

The WSOPE festival has long been one of the most recognizable poker events on European soil, but it has consistently failed to impress with attendance numbers.

A big part of this, according to many critics, was the WSOP’s decision to host the event in Rozvadov, a venue that offers very few pastimes beyond poker and gambling, which hasn’t sat too well with most recreational and even some professional players.

In 2026, the prestigious festival moves to the Czech capital of Prague, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, and the organizers expect the players to come out in droves, setting attendance records across all events.

The 2026 WSOPE Main Event will feature a €10,000,000 guarantee, which means at least 1,000 players are expected to attend the tournament, which played host to 768 players in 2024 and just 659 in 2025.

For reference, the 2023 WSOPE Main Event was the biggest in its history, as it drew 817 entries, nearly 200 fewer than this year’s expectation.

Come April, WSOP will need to make its ambitious plans for the Main Event into reality, and the addition of the Ladies Championship to the schedule is yet another way to help make the festival into a historic affair everyone is hoping for.
