PokerStars has now been merged with FanDuel Poker in the US. PokerStars branding remains, but it has moved to a new platform that runs on FanDuel, one of the largest sportsbook operators in the United States, bringing all three verticals together on a single platform with a shared wallet.

As part of the transition, the old PokerStars platform has been shut down (only withdrawals allowed), and every player is required to create a new account, even if you already have an existing FanDuel account.

Setting up a new account also means making a deposit if you want to play real money games. The new platform, branded as PokerStars Exclusively on FanDuel, has rolled out a generous welcome offer, featuring a 100% deposit match bonus of up to $1,000.

In simple terms, a $1,000 deposit gets matched in full, with the bonus released gradually as you play. You’ll need to opt in to qualify, and full details are available on our PokerStars FanDuel page.

For those not ready to deposit, there’s still something on the table. The operator is handing out $30 worth of free tickets, including two $5 Spin & Go tickets and a $20 satellite entry into an upcoming Sunday Million. As with the deposit bonus, opt-in is required to receive these tickets.

And once those tickets are used up, there are still ways to keep playing without adding funds. That’s one of the upsides of getting in early; there are a number of launch-phase promotions that give players a chance to build a bankroll from scratch.

No Sweat Series: $150,000 Freeroll Prize Money

No Sweat Series PokerStars FanDuel Poker

To mark the launch of the new FanDuel PokerStars platform, the operator has introduced the No Sweat Series. This isn’t a typical tournament series where you’re expected to buy in repeatedly. Instead, it’s built entirely around freerolls, meaning there’s no entry fee for any of the events.

The series runs from April 6 to 12 and features 24 freeroll tournaments with a combined $150,000 in prize money. The only requirement is a ticket to enter, and those tickets are being distributed daily to players from April 6 to 12. All you need to do is log in each day and check for ticket drops; no opt-in is needed for this part.

One of the more appealing aspects of the series is the variety. Each event is structured differently, with a mix of formats, start times, and prize pools. Some tournaments award entries into bigger events like the Sunday Million or Nightly Stars, others offer Spin & Go tickets, and most pay out directly in cash.

If you’re planning to take a shot, the opening event is worth keeping an eye on. It comes with a $50,000 guarantee, the largest in the series, and is likely to have a relatively small field since ticket distribution begins the same day. Scheduled on a Monday, it may not draw the same volume as later events. The tournament runs 8-handed with a hyper-turbo structure and awards 50 Sunday Million tickets, each valued at $1,000, to the top 50 finishers.

Further down the schedule, Event #24 offers $15,000 in guaranteed prize money on April 12, while Event #07 on April 7 comes with a $12,500 guarantee. Several other events sit in the $10,000 range, rounding out the schedule.

A few tournaments are also geared toward players who prefer faster formats, giving away $5 and $20 Spin & Go tickets instead of cash.

In total, there are 24 events that don’t require a buy-in. As long as you pick up the daily tickets, you have a shot at building a bankroll and even winning a seat in one of the headline events.

Sunday Million to Debut in the US

That includes the debut of the Sunday Million in the regulated US online poker market, set for April 12. Rather than a single tournament, it features two events with combined guarantees of $1 million, which is why it carries the Sunday Million branding.

One event comes with a $100 buy-in and the other with a $1,000 buy-in, with each guaranteeing $500,000 in prize money, among the largest prize pools currently available in the regulated US market.

We’re also told that future Sunday Million editions aren’t guaranteed, which means this could end up being a one-time opportunity.

For players considering signing up, getting in earlier does make a difference, as it increases the chances of making the most of the initial wave of promotions and ticket drops.
