The Global League is coming back to 888poker, bringing more fun, more competition, and bigger prizes. Merging players’ individual achievements with an opportunity to represent their country in the big final showdown, it is a competition open to all players eligible to play on the site.
Whether you already have a solid bankroll or you’re just starting in poker, you can get involved, as the Global League brings plenty of opportunities to show your skills without spending a single cent.
At the end of it all, there is a big final tournament, where 11 players from 11 different countries will fight it out for individual prizes as well as special freerolls open only to their respective countries. The league officially kicks off on June 11 and wraps up on July 18, 2026.
Collect Points & Climb the Leaderboard
The 2026 Global League by 888poker revolves around individual points won by players playing in the main weekly tournaments. These take place every Sunday, and you can buy into them directly or win your seat via freeroll qualifiers.
There are six freerolls taking place each week, playing out on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, awarding seats to the upcoming Main Tournament:
- Week 1: June 18 — 20 (June 21 Main Tournament)
- Week 2: June 25 — 27 (June 28 Main Tournament)
- Week 3: July 2 — 4 (July 5 Main Tournament)
- Week 4: July 9 — 11 (July 12 Main Tournament)
Players will collect individual leaderboard points in Main Tournaments based on the total field size and their finishing position. For example, a winner in a 400-field tournament will collect 399 points, a runner-up will get 398, etc. The player to get eliminated first will still receive one point.
This system rewards players who make deep runs in big fields.
There is also a Participation Bonus up for grabs. Every player who participates in all four Main Tournaments will receive an additional 50 points, and this can make a big difference.
Win a Spot in Your National Team
The best performing players over the course of the League will get their seats in the Final Tournament on July 18. However, this year, 888poker is doing things a bit differently.
Instead of the top X finishers proceeding to the final, 11 top-performing players from participating countries/regions will move on to form their national squad. These squads will face off in the final skirmish.
There are some very generous rewards awaiting the best-performing individuals in the Final Tournament, as well as for the top-performing national teams.
Individual prizes:
- The winner: 6-month subscription to the Sunday Major
- The runner-up 3-month subscription to the Sunday Major
- Third place: Main event ticket for an online series of your choice
- Fourth place: $109 ticket to the Sunday Major
- Fifth place: $100 worth of BLAST tickets
Additionally, each individual player is playing for their respective nation, as the top three performing teams will gain access to exclusive freerolls taking place on July 26:
- Winner’s country: $3,000 Freeroll
- Second-place nation: $2,000 Freeroll
- Third-place nation: $1,500 Freeroll
The first freeroll qualifiers take place Thursday — Saturday this week, with the first Main Tournament playing out on Monday, June 18. Join the action, represent your nation, and fight for the prestige and rich prizes awaiting the best and most consistent of players!
