July has already gone down as one of the most remarkable months for lottery sit and gos (LSNG), also known as jackpot sit and gos and spins, with six top-prize jackpot hits recorded across four major online poker operators.
While Winamax and FanDuel Poker also produced headline-grabbing winners this month, it was PokerStars and GGPoker that dominated the month, combining to award four $1 million jackpot prize pools in the space of just 16 days.
The run is particularly notable given July is traditionally one of the quieter months on the online poker calendar, with traffic typically easing following the World Series of Poker (WSOP). Yet between July 11 and July 26, both operators saw their biggest possible jackpots triggered twice.
Despite carrying the same “$1 million jackpot” label, PokerStars’ million-dollar jackpot came in a $5 Spin & Go with odds of just one in ten million, while GGPoker’s $1 million Spin & Gold jackpots came in the $200 buy-in, the odds of which are roughly 30 times in every ten million games.

GGPoker Strikes Twice in Two Days
The streak began on July 11 when GGPoker’s $200 buy-in Spin & Gold awarded its $1 million jackpot prize pool.
Latvia’s G Osherenko claimed the $500,000 first prize, while fellow Latvian Franz Ferdinand finished runner-up for $300,000. Croatia’s El Wisty completed the podium, collecting $200,000.
Remarkably, the top jackpot was triggered again the very next day.
On July 12, Slovenia’s Miha Benko became GGPoker’s second jackpot winner in 24 hours, earning another $500,000 first prize. Capybara96 from Latvia received $300,000 for second place, while Russia’s MegaTurbo collected $200,000 in third.
While two jackpot triggers on consecutive days is unusual, GGPoker’s top prize is considerably more likely to appear than PokerStars’. Both jackpots were hit in the $200 buy-in Spin & Gold, where the top multiplier is expected to appear about 30 times per ten million games.
The two July wins continue what has already become GGPoker’s strongest year for Spin & Gold jackpots. According to Poker Industry PRO, GGPoker has seen a dozen $1 million jackpot triggers this year, already the highest annual total since the format launched. Five of those came during an extraordinary four-week stretch between February and March, while the two July wins bring the all-time total to 37 jackpots.
PokerStars Creates Two New Millionaires
Five days after GGPoker’s second jackpot, PokerStars produced its own headline moment.
On July 17, Denmark’s dillerfar19 won PokerStars’ biggest possible Spin & Go jackpot after the top prize was triggered in a $5 buy-in game. Unlike GGPoker, PokerStars awards the full $1 million directly to the winner. Brazil’s malakaio300 earned $120,000 for second place, while Belarus’ KuCoH took home $80,000.
The feat was repeated just nine days later.
On July 26, Anatsuk334, a 24-year-old from Argentina, became PokerStars’ second $1 million winner of the month after another $5 Spin & Go hit the elusive 240,000x multiplier. Switzerland’s StephanShakes received $120,000 for finishing second, with Ukraine’s GrozovaIra earning $80,000 in third.
“The first thing I thought when I hit it was to stay calm and apply 100% of my knowledge and ability to get first place. After that, the tears came,” said Anatsuk334. “It’s a unique feeling because for people like me who come from humble beginnings, this kind of money will have a huge impact on my life.”
Those two jackpots were exceptionally rare. PokerStars’ top multiplier appears just once in every ten million games, making two triggers in the same month an uncommon occurrence. They also represent the operator’s only top jackpots of 2026. By comparison, PokerStars recorded one jackpot in 2025 and two in 2024.

Same Headline, Different Jackpots
Although both operators market a “$1 million jackpot,” the prize structures differ significantly.
PokerStars’ top jackpot actually carries a $1.2 million total prize pool. The winner receives $1 million, while second and third place collect $120,000 and $80,000, respectively.
GGPoker’s advertised $1 million jackpot refers to the total prize pool rather than the first-place prize. The winner receives $500,000, with the remaining prize money split between the other two players—$300,000 for second place and $200,000 for third.
The four jackpot events formed the centerpiece of a remarkable month for lottery sit and go games. Alongside Winamax’s €1 million Expresso jackpot on July 6 and FanDuel Poker’s $250,000 Spin & Go jackpot on July 16, they contributed to an unusually concentrated run of top-prize hits across the industry’s biggest LSNG operators during one of the traditionally slowest months of the online poker year.
