WSOP's Sunday Sale Returns for MI & PA Online Poker Players WSOP's Sunday Sale Returns for MI & PA Online Poker Players

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, WSOP is reintroducing its popular Sunday Sale tournament promo, offering Michigan online poker players and Pennsylvania online poker players the chance to enjoy major tournaments with slashed buy-ins on November 26.

This Sunday, three major tournaments will see their buy-ins reduced by half, yet the guaranteed prize pools will remain unaffected, adding to the appeal of this exciting promotion.

The promotion runs exclusively for Michigan online poker players and Pennsylvania. No such promotion is being held for WSOP NJ & WSOP NV players, which currently utilize the older 888 software.

A combined guaranteed prize pool of $55,000 will be featured in three events: Mystery Bounty, High Roller, and the Sunday Major event.

With a guaranteed prize pool of $25,000, the Sunday Sale Major will now have a reduced buy-in of $50 instead of $100. Scheduled to kick off at 6 PM, the tournament must attract 550 entries to avoid an overlay.

The Sunday Sale High Roller, offering a $15,000 guaranteed prize pool, will feature a new buy-in of $250 instead of $525 and is set for 7 PM. To meet its guarantee, the tournament needs 65 runners.

The Sunday Sale Mystery Bounty, guaranteeing $15,000, will now have a reduced buy-in of $109 instead of $215. Starting at 8 PM, this Mystery Bounty tournament requires a field size of 150 entrants to avoid a shortfall.

Sunday Sale Promo on WSOP MI & WSOP PA on November 26

Tournament Usual Buy-In Discounted Buy-in Guarantee Time
Sunday Sale Major $100 $50 $25,000 6 PM
Sunday Sale High Roller $525 $250 $15,000 7 PM
Sunday Sale Mystery Bounty $215 $109 $15,000 8 PM

The Mystery Bounty event promises a top bounty of $1500, with the next highest bounty of $750 available twice and a $375 bounty awarded four times randomly to players.

Satellites to the Sunday Sale Major are already live in the WSOP US app, featuring buy-ins starting at just $2.

Discounted buy-ins, such as those offered in the Sunday Sale promotion, are not a new concept and are generally well-received by players. The combination of reduced buy-ins while retaining the original guarantee increases the likelihood of overlays, providing an additional incentive for player participation.

WSOP is not the only operator to run such sales — 888poker and PokerStars also offer similar sales from time to time, albeit with PokerStars seeing a recent decrease in frequency in the US online poker market.

888poker runs Sunday Sale promos in most of its markets, including Ontario, Canada. iPoker occasionally implements reduced buy-ins for its Sunday tournaments, with cuts ranging from 33% to 60%, and French poker operator Winamax has also run comparable promotions in the past.

This marks the second Sunday Sale promotion at WSOP this year, following the August iteration with the same prize offerings.

In the meantime, the operator is hosting yet another Mystery Bounty tournament series open exclusively to players in Michigan and Pennsylvania. The series, which kicked off on November 15, is reaching its culmination today, featuring two tournaments with buy-ins set at $30 and $109, ensuring guaranteed prizes of $2500 and $8000, respectively.

Notably, last night’s Main Event failed to meet its guarantee in Michigan and Pennsylvania, offering an added advantage and extra value to participating players. Head to WSOP.com to take advantage of great value and get in on the action!
