The online portion of the WSOP 2024 series has now completed its fourth weekend. This series, which began on June 1, marks the first time players from Michigan can compete in online bracelet events alongside those from Nevada and New Jersey, following the recent merger of Michigan with the latter two states.
A total of 30 online bracelets are scheduled, with 12 already awarded and 18 still remaining. The series will continue until July 21.

Last weekend was particularly noteworthy due to the debut of the Mystery Bounty event in the WSOP Online shared liquidity pool of NV, NJ and MI as an online bracelet event. This event, which featured a $1 million guarantee — a rarity for bracelet events — was highly anticipated. It was one of only two events in the series with guaranteed prize pools.
The Mystery Bounty event exceeded expectations, setting new records. With a $500 entry fee and just one flight, it attracted 3,462 entrants, breaking the previous record for the largest turnout at a WSOP online bracelet event in the US. The former record was set in 2018 when a $365 buy-in online bracelet event drew 2,972 participants.

The event ultimately paid out $1,557,900 in prize money, making it the seventh-largest online bracelet event in the US by prize pool. The top bounty of $100,000 was claimed midway through the tournament. Of the 3,462 entries, 2,005 were unique players and 1,457 were re-entries, also setting a record for the largest $500 online event in regulated US online poker history.

Prize Pools Surge at WSOP 2024 Online Bracelet Series
Prize pools are starting to pick up in the WSOP 2024 series. Initially, the series had a slower start but still saw decent turnouts, with the first seven events generating a combined prize pool of $5.4 million, averaging close to $800,000 per event — similar to last year’s trend. However, the prize pools for the last five events have surged, producing nearly $6 million and averaging almost $1.2 million per event.
So far, four events have paid out over $1 million in prize money. This includes the previously mentioned $500 Mystery Bounty event, the $1,000 NLH 6-Max, which attracted 1,233 entrants for a total prize pool of $1,109,700; the $3,200 NLH High Roller, whose final table will be played live in Las Vegas, drawing 409 entrants for a $1,227,000 prize pool; and the $888 NLH Crazy 8’s, which saw 1,366 entries for a prize pool of $1,092,800.
The $600 NLH Monsterstack came close to reaching a seven-figure prize pool, with 1,781 entrants generating $961,740 in prize money.
Earlier in the series, the NLH 55th Annual Kickoff event collected 1,544 entries for a $772,000 prize pool, followed by a $400 PKO event with 1,962 entrants and a similar prize pool. Event #5, the NLH Triple Treys with a $333 entry fee — the lowest price point of the series — gathered 2,714 entries and an $814,000 prize pool, making it the fifth-largest in terms of turnout.
Other notable events include the $400 buy-in NLH Ultra Deepstack, which attracted 2,238 entries, and the $500 NLH PKO with 1,603 runners.
In total, the series has generated over $11 million in prize money across 12 events, averaging $951,000 per event and attracting over 20,000 entrants. Remarkably, two of the top six largest WSOP online bracelet events by total entries have occurred this year.
However, no event has yet reached a $2 million prize pool, but several upcoming events are expected to hit this mark in the coming weeks as more players arrive in Sin City closer to the start of the Main Event.
Some major events are on the horizon, most of which are anticipated to generate seven-figure prize pools. These include another hybrid online-live $5,300 High Roller event, the $777 Lucky 7’s, the PLO Mystery Bounty with a $500,000 guarantee, the first-ever Multi-Flight online bracelet event: the Colossus with a $555 buy-in and another debuting NLHE event with $10,000 price tag.
