Key Takeaways
  • UK poker club changes its online offering to iPoker.
  • Move is the latest in a string of high-profile successes for the network of coaxing brands onto its platform.

UK casino Dusk Till Dawn announced late last week it was moving its online poker room to the iPoker network.

The Nottingham-based operation, which calls itself the “largest poker-dedicated venue in the UK,” currently has an online poker skin on the GTECH G2—aka Boss Media—network.

This will be replaced with an iPoker skin at an unspecified date this week. Satellites and promotions will be moved over to the new poker room. Existing players will need to download the new application, and are told to keep an eye on the website for further details.

To promote the launch, online “Golden Chip” satellites will run for two live tournaments to be held in the casino in March, the £100K Grand Prix and £150K GTE Deepstack.

Though the casino offers Blackjack, slots and roulette, it is primarily a cardroom, boasting 45 tables and a seating capacity of 450 players. It spreads NL and PLO games up to £5/10, and offers a wide variety of daily tournaments and special events. It also hosts a stop on the UKIPT.

The casino made headlines earlier in the year with the debut of “Multi PrizePool Poker” (MPP™), a new live tournament structure that allows players to buy in for three different buy-in levels, and compete for a different prize pool.

Dusk Till Dawn’s move is the latest in a string of brands moving to iPoker, many coaxed away from rival poker networks. Gala Casino moved from Ongame in May 2012, Betclic-Everest dropped its independent network in September, and Betfair went live on iPoker last month.

These new partnerships have allowed iPoker to keep within fighting distance of competing networks PartyPoker and Full Tilt. Party has also seen a welcome traffic boost following the merger of bwin.party’s player pools and Full Tilt Poker, which has held on to second place with a string of aggressive promotions.
