Back in the poker boom era, the Wicked Chops Poker crew made a name for themselves by being the mischief-makers the industry didn’t know it needed.
Ex-PokerStars top brass Steve Preiss and the Cooley brothers, dubbed the 'Entities,’ mixed gossip, humor, and a bit of mayhem to create a poker media brand that punched above its weight.
“We picked our enemies carefully, if not always wisely”
They were infamous for their wild stories, like the golf prop bet that almost took out Erick Lindgren, or Amarillo Slim chasing them around the WSOP. They even managed to get under the skin of Nickelback fans and had models openly trashing their site. But they also earned respect in the industry, with Preiss later landing top roles at big poker companies, such as PokerStars.
