The WSOP Main Event is not only poker’s biggest tournament, but arguably the largest individual competition anywhere in the entertainment or gaming world, where a single player can walk away with $10 million. It is not just life-changing prize money, but a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that very few events anywhere on the planet can match.
And WSOP Online is giving US online poker players a chance to qualify for that prestigious event literally for free, a seat that normally costs $10,000 to enter.
It is a rare promotion, and one that only WSOP Online itself is offering: the chance to win a seat to the 2026 WSOP Main Event simply by making a qualifying deposit.
- Up to $100 in free play with first deposit
- Top-quality software
- Compete for WSOP bracelets & rings
How Players Can Qualify for the WSOP 2026 Main Event for Free
To be eligible, players only need to sign up with WSOP Online and make a deposit before March 28 using the code MAR2026. Once the deposit is made, players receive entry into a freeroll that will award a seat into the 2026 WSOP $10,000 Main Event to the winner.
Each player can use the code only once and receive just one freeroll entry. The freeroll takes place on March 28 at 5 PM PST / 8 PM EST, and players must make sure to register for the tournament themselves once registration becomes available.
The freeroll is open to players across all four states where WSOP Online currently operates: Nevada, New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
Play Any WSOP Gold Bracelet Events
While the March 28 tournament is technically called the $10,000 Main Event Seat Freeroll, WSOP is fairly flexible when it comes to how the prize can be used. The winner of the freeroll will receive $10,000 credited to their WSOP Plus account, which can then be used to enter any WSOP gold bracelet event during the summer series.
In other words, if a player wins the freeroll, they can turn that opportunity into a Main Event dream by entering the $10,000 championship itself, or they can choose to play any other bracelet event with a buy-in up to $10,000. If they prefer, they can also split the credits and play several smaller buy-in tournaments using their $10K across the final days of the WSOP.
Players will be able to claim their buy-in funds during the 2026 WSOP, which takes place at Paris Las Vegas and Horseshoe Las Vegas. To access the funds, players must present a valid US driver’s license or passport along with their Caesars Rewards card.
There is also another option available. Players can choose to receive the value of the prize in online tournament tickets instead, although they will need to contact WSOP support directly to arrange this alternative.
WSOP officials have clarified that any funds added to a WSOP+ account through this promotion cannot be withdrawn as cash. The credits can only be used toward tournament buy-ins during the 2026 WSOP Las Vegas series.
Online Satellites Also Available
For players who miss out on the freeroll or want additional chances to win a seat, WSOP Online has also begun running regular satellites for the Main Event. These tournaments take place every Sunday with a $215 buy-in and guarantee at least one seat to the $10,000 championship. Sub-qualifier tournaments are also available before the satellite begins, with buy-ins starting as low as $10.
WSOP Online is also hosting satellites for the WSOP Europe Main Event. These run on Sundays as well with the same $215 buy-in and guarantee one $10,000 package. The package includes a seat to the €5,300 WSOP Europe Main Event along with additional funds intended to help cover travel and accommodation expenses.
Elsewhere, GGPoker is also offering players a chance to win packages to the WSOP Europe Main Event, and the platform is expected to roll out similar qualifiers for the Las Vegas series in the coming weeks.
WSOP 2026 Main Event Set for Major Production Upgrades
The 57th edition of the WSOP returns on May 26 and runs through July 15. The Main Event, poker’s ultimate dream tournament for many players, begins on July 2 and will once again feature four starting flights. Late registration will remain open into Day 2, consistent with recent editions of the event.
While the overall structure will remain largely familiar, both WSOP and GGPoker are planning several upgrades aimed at strengthening the event’s global reach.
One of the major initiatives involves expanding international coverage, including plans for free daily live streams on YouTube leading up to the final table. The exact dates for the final table itself have not yet been finalized. At one point, there were rumors about bringing back the famous November Nine concept, although those discussions have since been dismissed. Still, talk of a delayed final table, potentially taking place later in July or even August, has not completely gone away.
Alongside a redesigned television set and the possibility of free global streaming, the 2026 Main Event could receive a noticeable production upgrade compared with previous years.
Last year, the 2025 WSOP Main Event attracted 9,735 entries, making it the third-largest field in the tournament’s history.
So while this year’s tournament is expected to be bigger in terms of coverage and production, it will also once again likely offer players the chance to win $10 million—and for one lucky player, possibly after starting their journey through a freeroll that cost them nothing at all.
