Perhaps you wouldn’t guess it, but Hellmuth’s Home Game, a popular poker show hosted by none other than Phil Hellmuth, has been running for a full year. Over that period, we’ve seen 19 fully edited and produced episodes of the show.
The first episode of the show, powered by BetRivers Poker, aired back in June, but it was preceded by the release of the unedited footage of all the action that took place inside the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada.
These six-hour+ long streams are still available on the Poker Night in America YouTube channel for those fans who aren’t satisfied to see just hand-picked moments and prefer to see all the action and get a better understanding of table dynamics.
Hellmuth’s Home Game has been very successful, gathering some of the best players in the game and attracting millions of views across YouTube and CBS Sports. The good news is that there is more to come soon, as the new season has already been filmed.

A Different Approach That Fans Enjoy
In many ways, Hellmuth’s Home Game is similar to other poker shows out there. However, there is one aspect that sets it apart from the rest, and that’s a lack of commentary.
This is something that Phil himself insisted on right from the start, aiming to create an atmosphere where viewers can hear all the table talk without any interruptions and feel like they are a part of it all. As he explains, while this means that some more complicated spots remain unexplained, the tradeoff is worth it.
Over the course of the last season, Hellmuth’s Home Game featured many familiar faces, including the likes of Dan “Jungleman” Cates, Jennifer Tilly, Xuan Liu, 3 Coin, and many others. With stakes set at $25/$50 with optional straddles, it’s the perfect home game setup, where pots are big enough to create excitement, yet the atmosphere remains friendly and relaxed.
Of course, playing the role of host and player, Phil is the star of the show. He may not be the biggest action player at the table, but he knows how to keep the conversation flowing and get some banter started, making his guests feel welcome.
To Hellmuth’s credit, he’s mostly been a good host throughout the season, as we’ve seen very few of his trademark outbursts. Yes, Phil does not like losing pots, and he’s terrible at hiding it, but he’s been largely staying true to his recent promise to be more graceful in defeat.
More of Hellmuth’s Home Game Is Coming
When a poker show’s season wraps up, fans are usually left wondering if and when it will come back. There will be no such conundrums with Hellmuth’s Home Game, as the new season has already been fully filmed.
It looks like we have a lot to look forward to, including Jungleman breaking out some dance moves and Tom Dwan joining the action.
As many of you will know, Dwan and Hellmuth have a bit of a history dating back to the 2008 National Heads-Up Poker Championship, when Phil uttered the now legendary sentence: “We’ll see if you’re even around in five years.”
A few years back, Dwan and Hellmuth played a couple of heads-up matches as part of the High Stakes Duel series, and, after losing the first round, Phil managed to bounce back and win the second match, banking $400,000.
Now, the two are back at the same table, and fireworks are to be expected!
While the fully produced episodes are expected to hit YouTube and CBS in about three months, unedited versions of live streams should be available in just a few days, which means about 20+ hours of completely free and enjoyable poker content.
