The latest BetRivers Poker tournament series, the Multi-State Summer Series (MSS), came to an end last Sunday, but one player had a dream run that stood out from the rest of the field.

BetRivers Poker stream member Daniel “DrDadPoker” Schill won six Championship events during the series, collecting six trophies along the way and becoming the most successful player of the festival by some distance.

It may even be a record for a single player to win six titles in one tournament series in online poker, although it is not known whether anyone has achieved the feat before.

The MSS returned for its second edition for players in Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia and Delaware. The 15-day series ran from August 2 through August 16 and featured more than $450,000 in guaranteed prize money. The schedule included 96 Championship events, with buy-ins ranging from just $3 to $200.

Every tournament on the schedule carried Championship event status, with each winner receiving a unique trophy. That gave players a chance to add some hardware to their collections regardless of the buy-in or tournament format.

The biggest tournament on the schedule was the $200 Main Event, which came with a $35,000 guarantee. Other highlights included the $100 Slobberknocker PKO with a $15,000 guarantee and the $200 Summer Stack, which guaranteed $18,000.

There was also plenty of variety across the schedule. Players could choose from regular tournaments, progressive knockouts, 70% bounty PKOs, PKOs with 20-big-blind starting stacks, turbos and hyper-turbos. The series also featured several PLO events, along with Deepstack, Monsterstack and other formats.

A $10,000 leaderboard contest ran alongside the tournaments, split into two tiers so that both lower- and higher-stakes players had the chance to compete for additional prizes.

Strong Series Numbers

After 15 days of action and three Sundays, the MSS crushed its guarantees by almost 30%, with several tournaments posting strong results.

The $200 Main Event was one of the biggest performers, attracting 214 entries to build a prize pool of more than $40,000. Its $20 Mini version also comfortably surpassed its $6,000 guarantee after drawing 360 entries.

The $200 Summer Stack on the opening day attracted 130 runners and generated a $24,310 prize pool, while the $200 Deepstack PKO drew 122 entries for $22,814. The $100 Sunday Main also surpassed its $17,500 guarantee, with 240 entries creating a $22,200 prize pool.

Its Mini counterpart, the $10 Sunday Main, drew the biggest field of the entire series. A total of 396 entries produced a $3,623.40 prize pool.

Not every tournament managed to reach its guarantee, however, with 11 events finishing with an overlay.

Overall, the series paid out $581,807 in prize money, with almost $130,000 going to tournament winners. It attracted 18,700 entries across the 96 Championship events.

Scientist With a Poker Talent

For Schill, however, the series was about much more than simply participating. He won six separate events, including four titles in the space of four consecutive days.

His winning streak began on August 6 with MSS #15-S: $20 Deepstack, which carried a $3,500 guarantee and attracted 202 entries. Schill took the title for $734. The following day, he added another trophy by winning the $5 Fight Club PKO for $267. He kept the run going on Saturday, taking down the $100 Weekend Wrap PLO for $1,931, before completing four wins in four days on Sunday by winning the $5 Sprint 6-Max for $188.

A week later, Schill returned to the winner’s circle twice more. He won the $3 Turbo PLO for $105 before closing out his remarkable series by taking down the final tournament on the schedule, the $5 Series Saver, for $193.

Across his six victories, Schill collected $3,418 in prize money and six Championship trophies.

Although most of Schill’s six wins came in the lower buy-in tournaments, he is no stranger to playing on much bigger stages.

According to The Hendon Mob, Schill has accumulated almost $230,000 in live tournament earnings. He also came close to claiming a WSOP gold bracelet in 2025, finishing fifth in the $600 PokerNews Deepstack Championship for $84,676.

The money from his six BetRivers wins may be modest compared with some of his biggest live scores, but his results underline his commitment to the operator’s tournament schedule. Schill also regularly streams his poker sessions on Twitch and YouTube, giving viewers a chance to follow his tournament runs as they happen.

Schill is one of three poker streamers representing BetRivers, alongside Keith Becker and Anthony F. Cicali III.

He also has an unusual background for a professional poker player. He holds a PhD in cell and developmental biology, making him a doctor of philosophy as well as a poker player and streamer. He is a Michigan online poker player, one of the four states where BetRivers Poker players were eligible to compete in the MSS.

His strong performance continued beyond the individual tournaments. Schill topped the low-tier leaderboard to collect an additional $400 and also finished 12th in the higher-tier standings, adding another $200 to his series earnings.

Schill was not the only player to put together a strong run during the festival. Two players, “vadym” and “moontime,” each won three Championship events, while at least nine other players managed to win two titles apiece.

The latest MSS was BetRivers Poker’s seventh tournament series in a little over a year and ranked as its third-largest series by prize money. Earlier this year, the operator hosted the BetRivers Poker Spring Championship, which awarded more than $650,000 across 88 tournaments.
