From now through July 20, players on PokerStars Pennsylvania can get 100% matching funds for deposits up to $500.
Matching bonuses are more commonly seen in Welcome Bonus offers, which apply only to the first deposit a new player makes. For this current offer, PokerStars is extending it to any player who adds at least $30 to their account.
In a world where generous bonuses of straight cash are increasingly rare, this is a big offer from the leader looking to shore up its position in the burgeoning market. Players have until July 20 to take advantage of it and should use code
BOOST to trigger the bonus.
New players, of course, get an even better offer: 100% up to $600 with code
STARS600. But they can still take advantage of this reload too if they want to really queue them up—users need to clear one before starting on the other. But it would be a huge way to start a PA bankroll.
- For more than a decade, PokerStars has led the industry with the best software, largest player pools and safest environment to play
- Great Welcome package: $50 in freeplay after playing just one hand at cash game tables
- Plus a big first deposit bonus: 100% up to $600 with code
- Home of the Sunday Special, PACOOP, Spin & Gos and more
Reload bonuses of this size for existing players are much rarer, especially at PokerStars. The operator posted similar bonuses in 2016 and 2017 in the New Jersey market, often around COOP and SCOOP festivals, where they offered 100% matching funds for deposits to $500. In April of 2018 however, it got significantly more generous with a huge deal offering 200% matching funds up to $1,000.
PokerStars’ sister operation in Michigan, PokerStars MI, has also run a similar promotion. In late March this year, the Great Lake state put on a nearly identical Bankroll Boost offer of 100% deposit match up to $500.

While these deals are somewhat rare for existing customers, they are not unheard of. Reload deals can be used to invigorate a lagging market, or address changing market conditions.
In fact, the reload bonus in Michigan coincided very closely with the launch of its first competitor, BetMGM Poker MI. While WSOP PA is not the first competition for PokerStars in PA, its entry this week crowds a market that PokerStars had a monopoly in just a couple months ago.
Despite still holding a clear lead in PA, PokerStars appears to want to solidify its position with some added customer generosity. All existing customers can get deposits of up to $500 fully matched, but there are a few hoops to jump through.
- Reload Bonus promotion runs from July 9 to July 20
- Open to all real money verified players
- Deposits from $30 to $500 using code
BOOSTwill be matched 100%
- Only one offer is available per player
- Players release $5 of bonus money for every 90 Redemption Points earned
- Players earn 5 Redemption Points for every $1 paid in rake
- All real-money poker play earns rake toward Redemption Points, but casino and sports play is not eligible
In other words, you receive $1 if bonus month for 18 redemption points (RPs); and 18 RPs require $3.60 paid in rake. This equates to an additional 27.8% in rakeback as you clear the bonus, on top of any other bonuses and rewards.

PokerStars Still Dominates PA
PokerStars position in PA is very secure for the moment. While it is still too early to have any idea what sort of numbers the brand new WSOP PA is posting, PokerStars has been dominating BetMGM Poker PA since it launched with sister skin Borgata Poker PA in late April of this year.
Since the launch of its first competition, cash game traffic at PokerStars has been higher than 250 concurrent users more often then it has been below that mark. Its competition has not yet hit 50 concurrent cash game users since its launch.
PokerStars already leads the market but timing a bonus like this to new competition is not unusual, having seen a similar move in Michigan earlier in the year. Players still have five days until July 20 to take advantage of the Bankroll Boost promotion and get a gift from PokerStars of up to $500.
