March Poker Mania

Running March 20 – 27, 2022, BetMGM Poker MI March Poker Mania was a series featuring 11 tournaments, with buy-ins ranging from $109 to $1060 for the $100K guaranteed Main Event on March 27.

There was another Main Event, the $75K one, which cost $535 to buy directly into Phase 2, but players also had a chance to get their seat for the final day through daily $55 Phase I events.

Other than this, March Poker Mania offered a good mix of tournaments, with traditional and PKO events, a few PLO tournaments, and a $1,060 heads up events.

Past BetMGM Poker MI Series (2021)

In June 2021, BetMGM MI ran a BetMGM Online Series, consisting of 10 events spread across over two weeks of play. The series was geared more towards those with bigger bankrolls, with most buy-ins being at least $109.

One exception to this was Event #8, which featured a modest buy-in of just $20. As a result, it attracted a total of 2,169 entries, creating a $39,042 prize pool and shattering the $5000 guarantee.

However, quite a few tournaments failed to meet the guarantee. The biggest overlay happened in the very first event, as BetMGM had to make up the difference of almost $15,000 to make the $50,000 guarantee.

For the month of August, BetMGM Poker MI is hosting 11 events for their Online Series. Things kick off on August 15 with a $535 tournament and the action will continue for a full week, with the final two events taking place on August 22.

The BetMGM Online Series was back in October, featuring once again ten events in total, with most buy-ins being either $215 or $109 and guarantees ranging from $10,000 to $50,000.

For the month of November, BetMGM Poker MI hosted an interesting End Boss Series, which featured seven from November 23 – 28, 2021.

Buy-ins for the series were on the higher side, ranging from $215 to $1060, with prize pools to match. Adding some more spice to the whole series was the fact that the new BetMGM ambassador Darren Elias was playing as well, so players had a real chance to run into him on the virtual felt and test their skills against one of the best tournament players around.

To see the old year out in style, BetMGM Poker MI hosted the Cheap Stakes series in the second half of December. As the name suggests, the series consisted of smaller buy-in events, but the $50 Main Event still featured a very respectable $20,000 guarantee.
