The promotion is ultimately your last chance to win your way to what is on course to become the WSOP’s largest Main Event in its 50-year-plus history.

“In 2022, we were just 112 players short from breaking the record for the highest WSOP Main Event in history,” the WSOP officials explained behind the Seat Sprint promo naming. “This year, we’re trying to make history with over 8,774 players in the Main Event.”

Although the officials have not yet revealed details surrounding the promotion yet, pokerfuse has managed to sneak a glimpse at this exciting promo.

Not 112 seats, but more than 120 Main Event seats are guaranteed in online satellites spread over two weeks on the shared WSOP NJ/NV network, pokerfuse can exclusively reveal.

As was already revealed by the officials, the promo runs daily from this Sunday, June 25, and culminates in a special drawing on July 8. The operator has committed to giving away 10 seats worth $100,000 in prize money daily.

Buy-ins for the online satellites as part of the Sprint promo range from $100 to $1000. The centerpiece of the sprint is the 25 Seat Scramble on Sunday, July 2, which, as the name suggests, promises 25 seats to the iconic event for a buy-in of just $215. The tournament will carry a whopping $250,000 in guaranteed prize money.

On the final day of the Sprint, there will be a special drawing — giving players one last shot.

In addition to these satellites, the operator will also be running daily satellites, each guaranteeing at least one seat for buy-ins of $215/$320. Furthermore, the operator will spread “All-In” satellites every day from June 25 to July 8, with buy-ins ranging from $80 to $126 and no rake or tournament fees charged.

Qualifiers have been paving the way for major events for many years. They not only provide a way to qualify for a big poker tournament for a fraction of the cost, but they have also proven to provide a massive return.

Most famously, Chris Moneymaker parlayed an $86 investment in an online satellite at PokerStars, turning it into a $2.5 million payday and sparking the online poker boom. A year later, Greg Raymer also won his way into the Main Event through a satellite on PokerStars and won the title.

More recently, Espen Jorstad won his way to the Main by qualifying through a $1050 buy-in satellite on GGPoker, enjoying a 10,000x return on investment. He bested the second-largest WSOP Main Event field of 8663 players to win a life-changing $10 million prize.

GGPoker Qualifies Nearly 800 Players to 2023 WSOP Main Event

GGPoker, the exclusive international partner of WSOP, has done its part and has qualified a whopping 774 players to the Main Event on their multiple platforms.

As per numbers shared by the GGPoker real money platform with Poker Industry PRO, our premium publication and data analytics platform for poker industry insiders, 634 out of 774 won seats via the Road to Vegas promotion that ran on the GGPoker dot-com network. At the same time, another 39 players made their way through the segregated GGPoker/WSOP Ontario app (powered by WSOP) room serving Canada’s largest province.

And a further 101 players qualified through ClubGG, GGPoker’s sweepstakes, and a subscription-based online poker platform, where the campaign for the 2023 series kicked off immediately after last year’s series wrapped.

This multi-prong effort by organizers is looking on track to break the 17-year-long record.

Plus, with participation seeing an uptick of 15% during the first half of the series, the WSOP 2023 Main Event looks well poised to become the largest Main Event ever and possibly get close to 10k entrants.

Here’s the full schedule of the 112 Seat Sprint promo running exclusively for WSOP New Jersey & Nevada players. Each of the satellites runs at 4 PM PT.
