David Lappin told PokerNews that EPT Barcelona has always been one of the most popular stops on the tour, and this year was no different.

Over 4,000 players showed up for the PokerStars Open Main Event, but with great numbers comes great logistical pain.

“It’s just a capacity issue, and it’s kind of like being a victim of your own success a little bit.”

To keep things running smoothly, organizers made small tweaks, like bumping up buy-ins and giving players more space, even if it meant a few less people could play.

“If you’re not able to deliver a positive player experience, with manageable reg queues and things like that, we’d rather have slightly fewer people here and be able to show them all a good time,”
