According to the most recent reports from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, online poker sites generated just over $2.3 million in revenue in February 2026, continuing a trend of slight decline over recent months.

Despite this, the BetMGM Poker Network has reached a milestone of its own. BetMGM Poker, Borgata Poker, and PartyPoker have each grown, and the BetMGM Poker Network now holds just over 50% of the total market share for the first time ever.

While exact monthly figures fluctuate, recent data and industry trends indicate that the Network has steadily grown its share over the past two years, driven primarily by multi-state player pooling and aggressive product development. As recently as 2024, the network held roughly 46% of the market, showing how quickly it has expanded its dominance.

The Power of Shared Liquidity

One of the biggest drivers behind BetMGM’s rise has been the continued expansion of shared liquidity across multiple states.

Through the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA), operators can combine player pools across states like New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. This allows operators to offer larger tournament prize pools, more active cash games, and increased player engagement across the board.

BetMGM Poker has leaned heavily into this strategy, becoming one of the first operators to connect multiple states into a unified network. This has significantly boosted traffic and revenue, with multi-state liquidity shown to drive double-digit or even 50%+ growth spikes in some cases.

In contrast, operators that have been slower to expand liquidity have struggled to keep pace. The ability to offer bigger games and more consistent action has become one of the defining competitive advantages in US online poker.

How is the Competition Doing?

While the BetMGM Poker Network as a whole, made up of three major poker operators, is leading the way in New Jersey, none of the three sites holds the number one position by itself.

WSOP Online, which is the online arm of the widely recognized biggest poker brand in the US, holds that position as of February 2026. With over $700,000 in revenue, representing almost a third of the total market revenue, WSOP remains the biggest online poker site in the state.

Powering the biggest multi-state online poker network, WSOP is able to bring together players from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Nevada, making it the only operator to add Las Vegas and the rest of Nevada into the mix.

PokerStars US, on the other hand, has not been doing as well in recent months. In February, the operator generated $477k in revenue, down 27% year-over-year, and recorded one of its weakest months since the launch of regulated online poker in New Jersey.

Overall Market Growth Drives Online Poker Expansion

The online gambling market of New Jersey continues to expand. In 2025 alone, NJ online gambling operators generated $2.91 billion in revenue, with NJ online poker seeing small but steady gains as well.

Online gambling growth in NJ was driven by factors such as increased adoption of online gaming, improved mobile platforms, multi-state player pools, and new tournament formats.

Multi-state play, in particular, has helped online poker grow, with operators like WSOP, BetMGM, and PokerStars all expanding beyond state borders and allowing players from different parts of the US to play together.

BetMGM Network, in particular, has been able to capitalize on the recent trends, merging player pools across different sites and states to build a concentrated poker network that allows continued expansion.

Large tournament guarantees, cross-platform rewards, and integrated casino and betting products have made BetMGM a top pick for players, who get to capitalize on all the best parts of online gaming while playing on a single network.

What’s Next for the BetMGM Network?

The BetMGM Network has reached a critical threshold in New Jersey, dominating with more than 50% of market share, and continually expanding in a highly competitive landscape.

New Jersey online gaming and online poker continue to grow, with the addition of new operators like BetRivers Poker expected soon, and the potential expansion of online poker into new states, both likely factors for further growth in the coming months and years.

Throughout 2026, we are likely to see the competition chase after the BetMGM Network, with WSOP in particular proving to be a serious competitor, and PokerStars looking to get back on a more equal footing with its competitors.
