PokerStars Ignite Series on FanDuel Poker is shaping up to offer significant value for players. It marks the first series for the operator on the new PokerStars on FanDuel platform, and to celebrate the launch, the operator has rolled out notably ambitious guarantees.
A total of $5 million is guaranteed across 90 events, placing it among the largest series available to players in the regulated US online poker market across New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. So far, a large portion of the tournaments have recorded overlays, meaning the operator is covering the shortfall out of its own funds.
This underlines how aggressive PokerStars FanDuel have been with their guarantees.
The schedule includes several six-figure guaranteed tournaments, with 15 out of 90 events falling into that category, accounting for nearly 17% of the lineup. A majority of these tournaments have missed their guarantees. This includes the flagship Sunday Dynasty and Sunday Shield tournaments. Check out the full schedule of Ignite Series here.
Sunday Dynasty features guarantees ranging from $200,000 to $250,000, with buy-ins set at $100 and $200. Sunday Shield, meanwhile, carries a $50,000 guarantee with buy-ins of $20 and $30.

The Ignite Series on PokerStars FanDuel began on April 18 and has now reached its halfway stage. As per our calculations, the series has awarded close to $1.8 million in prize money and attracted more than 19,000 entries. However, overlays have been substantial, totaling over $400,000, which means the operator has effectively contributed around 25% of the total prize pools. That represents a meaningful cost to the operator while translating into added value for players.
The trend has been consistent across the schedule, with most tournaments falling short of their guarantees, creating favorable conditions for participants on top of the already generous welcome offers available on the platform.
What’s Coming This Weekend
There is still plenty to play for. This weekend alone features a dozen tournaments as part of the Ignite Series, with combined guarantees of $765,000. Among them is the return of Sunday Dynasty, now with a $200 buy-in and a $250,000 guarantee.
The previous edition, which ran with a $100 buy-in, drew 1,485 entries and resulted in an overlay of nearly $64,000. Despite that outcome, this week’s edition doubles the buy-in while increasing the guarantee by 25%.
Another well-known PokerStars tournament, Sunday Storm, makes its debut on the FanDuel PokerStars platform this weekend, featuring a $1,000 buy-in and a $200,000 guarantee.
Additional highlights include the $100 Nightly Stars with a $50,000 guarantee and the $250 BigStack offering an $80,000 guarantee, both scheduled for Saturday. There is also a $25 mystery bounty event with a $25,000 guarantee.

The final weekend is set to feature the biggest events of the series. This includes the Ignite Series Main Event, priced at $300 with a $500,000 guarantee, scheduled toward the close of the festival. Alongside it, the High Roller Main Event, featuring a $1,500 buy-in and a $250,000 guarantee, will serve as another key attraction.
Considering the scale of these guarantees and the overlays seen so far, these events could offer some of the best value opportunities of the entire series if the current pattern continues.
