The World Series of Poker is running a 12 Days of Poker promotion in December, offering players a chance to win a seat to the WSOP 2023 Main Event, pokerfuse can reveal.
The promotion will be live from December 7 to December 18, running daily special tournaments with added prizes on top of the guarantees. These come in various forms, including cash and tournament tickets. All players who play at least one tournament also enter a random prize draw to win a seat to the WSOP 2023 Main Event.

Buy-ins start at $1 and match the day of the promotion. For instance, the tournament costs $1 on the first day of the promotion, $2 on the second day, $3 on the third day and so on. The guarantees are based all 100x the buy-in.
The mechanism of the promotion has never been tried on the WSOP US platform before. The tournament works just like a regular tournament except that each event has additional prizes on top of the guaranteed prizes. These could be anything from straightaway giving additional cash prizes to the winner to a random cash draw offered to all participating players.
For instance, Event #2 awards a Sunday major ticket worth $109 via a random draw. Event #6 awards $100 cash rewards to three lucky players who reach the final table also via a random draw. Event #12 — the last day of the promotion — offer a $1000 WSOP 2023 seat randomly.
As a bonus, all those who participate in these tournaments will earn entry into the WSOP 2023 Main Event Seat Drawing scheduled to run on December 20. Those who play in all of the tournaments will have 12 chances in the draw. However, a player can win a maximum of one entry for each event they play — rebuys and re-entries will not count.
In total, the operator will be handing out $15,000 in added prizes which includes a $10k WSOP 2023 Main Event seat and a $1000 WSOP 2023 entry.

Curiously, the promotion is only available to players in Michigan & Pennsylvania, not to New Jersey & Nevada.
This is likely because WSOP MI & WSOP PA clients use 888poker’s new Poker 8 software, which supports this unique promotional mechanism. WSOP NJ & WSOP NV. however, still use the old software.
Despite being six months away, this is not the first time WSOP US has offered players a chance to win seat to next year’s series. Right after the WSOP 2022 live series concluded, the WSOP US network } ran a freeroll with WSOP 2023 tickets up for grabs.
To become eligible for that special freeroll, all players had to do was make a deposit during August using a unique bonus code. The promotion was available to players in all four states where WSOP operates: New Jersey, Nevada, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
