Yes, even if you used to be a PokerStars player you need to sign up to the new FanDuel Poker site.
The operator is handing out $30 worth of free tickets, including two $5 Spin & Go tickets and a $20 satellite entry into the Sunday Million, that takes place THIS Sunday.
As with the deposit bonus, opt-in is required to receive these tickets.
As reported on PokerNews, Obrestad stepped away from the game citing burnout and a need to experience life beyond the poker table.
During her hiatus, she embraced creative pursuits, including running a YouTube makeup channel and even competing in Scrabble tournaments. Now, she says those experiences have given her a new outlook as she steps back into the poker spotlight.
She now back at WSOP Europe and running deep!
The Battle of Malta is back this May, and WPT Global is making it easier and cheaper to qualify than ever before.
Players can start their journey for as little as $1.10 in step satellites, or even take a shot through Sunday freerolls for no money down.
FanDuel Poker, in conjunction with PokerStars US, will be hosting two tournaments on April 12, both called the Sunday Million.
With buy-ins of $109 and $1,100, respectively, each event features a guaranteed prize pool of $500k, for a combined $1 million in guarantees.
Remember to sign up for a FanDuel Poker account if you haven’t done so already.
PokerStars is launching the Irish Open Afterparty, with a 69-event schedule from April 12 to 20 and over $3 million guaranteed across the series.
The buy-ins start at $5.50, so even if your wallet is still recovering from the live event, you can probably afford a shot at glory.
When Daniel Negreanu and Michael Mizrachi first crossed paths, things got heated. On Season 4 of NBC’s National Heads-Up Poker Championship back in 2008, they shared how an online game almost escalated into a real-life confrontation.
Mizrachi recalled, “I’d just knocked him out of a game. I got lucky in the hand, but I was just goofing around. And then it got serious.”
Negreanu added that there was talk of flying to Vegas to settle things, but it never came to blows.
Instead, their rivalry played out at the poker table, where Mizrachi eventually took the win. According to PokerNews, it was all just part of the game, and the two are friendly now.
The field is thinning and the pressure is mounting, with everyone focused on that €10,000,000 guarantee.
The livestream captures every twitch and sigh as players battle for their tournament lives.
But we are big fans and looking forward to watching this!
If you don’t remember the anal beads controversy then who even are you?!
Mark your calendar: April 16th at 10 am PT.
The talk is completely FREE and will be hosted by poker legend and BetRivers Poker ambassador, Phil Galfond, as he discusses how we need to work with our brains—not against them—in order to create a learning habit that actually works.
If you have the time, it seems like a really good way to spend the morning.
A Webinar with Phil Galfond
You know what you need to do. You’re just not doing it.
Most people decide they need more discipline. I thought that for years. I pushed myself to be more structured and disciplined, and I made a little progress. The big unlock came when I stopped thinking about it that way.
In this talk, I’ll share what actually worked for me.
You’ll leave with specific actions you can take right away—small enough to actually happen.
See you there,
— Phil
Per the new rules, electronic devices are banned at WSOP events once the table is down to its final stages.
Poker pro Landon Tice notes how, over in Prague, the dealers are keeping everyone in check.
I, for one, think it’s a good thing to ban devices at the tables, but others at The Rail—looking at you, Ivan—disagree.
You can read why he thinks banning phones is a bad idea in his op-ed from last year.
Last year, thanks to BetRivers Poker poker player, Leah Bella (@Lelepokerr on X), got an opportunity to play with Phil Hellmuth, who was her late-father’s favorite player.
What a nice thing to do for someone!
No Sweat Series on PokerStars on FanDuel has kicked off to a great start.
Over 6,000 entries participated on the first day of the series.
If you’re looking to build a bankroll on a new platform, this is one of the best places to begin.
Choosing a new username or screen name is always tricky. Some people go with a mix of their name and a few numbers matching their birthday or anniversary (like john0669), some go completely random, and others try to be funny, sometimes painfully so (ever seen something like “AllInNoWin”?).
We’ve spotted some of the most unusual screen names on the new PokerStars on FanDuel platform, and honestly, some of these names are hilarious and some are absolutely not 😄
BIDGEBOOO555
GammaRaise
DirtyDingle
springroll
Daddyhoes
ThickHairAvgD
igotthenutz
Gimmedatstack
And some lucky folks grabbed these simple/common words:
Unlucky
quick
bell
andrew
Greg
fatboy
DOOM
Emily
GAMBOL
The best part? It’s still a new platform, which means there’s plenty of room to grab something original—whether that’s hilarious, ridiculous, or just plain random. Might as well take your shot.
Need inspiration? Here’s a mix of clever and funny poker-themed ideas:

ChipStackSnack

Go on—lock in something unforgettable before it’s gone 😄

WSOP Europe has broken all-time records, drawing 2,617 entries and building just over €13 million in prize money.
And now the payouts are out: first place takes a whopping €2 million, with a total of 393 players making the money and the min-cash at €10,000. PokerNews is doing a solid job reporting live on the action.
So, FanDuel Poker has been live for nearly a week now. While a lot of players have reported issues with the new platform, the traffic has been strong and games are running well overall. That said, if you’re looking to improve performance, here’s a tip that’s been working for some players.
For a cleaner and smoother experience: open the PokerStars on FanDuel desktop client, log in (or sign up if you haven’t yet), then go to Settings → Application → Rendering Engine, and switch from DirectX 11 to DirectX 12 (assuming you’re on a modern PC).
Based on player feedback, this simple change has made a noticeable difference for many. Give it a try and see if it improves your setup.
Narcis Nedelcu took home the Irish Open trophy after beating a record-breaking field of more than 5,000 players at the Royal Dublin Society. The Romanian pro, fresh off a big online win, called the victory “something so, so special” when talking to PokerNews.
The event’s massive €4.8 million prize pool smashed the organizers’ guarantee. After hours of final-table play, the last five players agreed to chop most of the money, with Nedelcu securing €336,798 and the trophy after a quick heads-up against Danilo Donnini.
The high stakes action over on PokerGO rarely disappoints. Everyone is talking about the hand between Andrew Robl and Justin Gavri. Now we have Sam Greenwood’s take.
Dig in below.
Instead of just focusing on rakebacks or tournament guarantees, BetRivers Poker has built a reputation for personal touches—like helping one player, Leah Bella, keep a promise to her late father through a yearly poker tradition.
When Leah lost a cherished Pirates hat tied to that tradition, BetRivers didn’t just send her a replacement. They got Phil Hellmuth to sign it.
It’s a reminder that sometimes, even in online poker, the human element isn’t totally lost.
All in on every hand is a bold strategy, especially when pints are involved. In this live poker vlog, Spraggy plays every single hand at the table and the results are about as chaotic as you’d expect.
If you enjoy watching someone embrace the chaos and poke fun at their own play, this one is your cup of tea.
We cover why its a big deal, and what it means for players in the US below.
Don’t forget to sign up for a FanDuel Poker account ahead of time, even if you used to have a PokerStars US account.
Yes it is that Kristen Foxen Triton Jeju Main Event pocket-kings-hand.
The hand created so many armchair experts, Doug Polk had to wade in.
The hand itself has become the subject of much speculation, with viewers left to wonder what exactly Foxen did that broke the mold.
Was it an epic fold, a hero call, or just a case of kings getting cracked in spectacular fashion? Doug gets into it.
The process is simple: play 50 tournaments online between April 11 and May 2, with a minimum $5 buy-in. BLAST tournaments are included, so you can turbo your way to qualification if you like things fast.
There is no opt-in, but you do need to be a UK player with at least one real money deposit. Once you hit 50 tournaments, you get a single ticket to the May 3 freeroll satellite. No rebuys, no second chances—just a freezeout for the top 30 to book their Main Event entry.
We outline how to build your bankroll from $0 below!
Only players in New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania are eligible to play.
The Bank of Antonio Esfandiari was open for business, with Nick Wright making more withdrawals than he did hero calls on the Big Game on Tour finale.
Per Ivan’s round up on pokerfuse, while Esfandiari and Gronk hogged the spotlight, Rania Nasreddine quietly racked up six figures and the two Phils (Laak and Hellmuth) just tried to stay solvent.
The No Sweat Series kicks off today on PokerStars + FanDuel with the Sunday Million No Sweat Mega. The prize pool consists of $50,000 worth of tickets to the $1,000 Sunday Million on April 12.

It’s not every day that we see someone folding A-K to a min 4-bet before the flop, but if anyone can pull that move, it’s Phil Hellmuth.
Phil folded the Big Slick against Gronk on the latest episode of The Big Game, despite being down money, and he wants the entire poker world to know about it.
