Cash game streams are coming to WSOP!
This just in: High Stakes Poker Productions, the company behind the popular Hustler Casino Live stream, has announced they are planning to stream cash game action from the Horseshoe Casino.
Streams will run on the usual YouTube channel, and it looks like this is the first of many remote cash game streams the company has in the works. There will be three weeks of play, running June 5 – 20.

Joe Stapleton is parting way with PokerStars.
The man whose voice we’ve all become very familiar with will no longer be in the booth during PokerStars Live events after EPT Monte Carlo.
According to Stapes, the reasons for the “breakup” are of personal nature and there is no juicy underlying scandal that could be used for click-baity titles.
While there are many great people on the team who’ll continue to provide A+ coverage of PokerStars tournaments, this is definitely the end of an era.

PokerNews reports that tournament legend David Peters, with nearly $50 million in live earnings, has finally spoken up about his lingering debt to fellow pro Dylan Linde.
As we have already covered before, the dispute centers on a $50,000 stake that Peters owed Linde after a Triton Poker event, with payments trickling in over the course of a year and about $23,000 still outstanding.
Peters took to X to issue a four-part apology.
I deeply regret the choices that I made that led him to not trusting that he was going to get paid and led to him posting about it. ’m sure that wasn’t an easy thing to do and I should have never allowed it to get to that point.
No specific reason was given for the delays, but Peters described being in a 'bad situation where I just kept doubling down and making things worse while having very poor communication and missed timelines.’
For now, Peters says he is 'working on settling the rest’ and wants to 'regain the trust of the community.’

ARIA doubles down on summer poker variety.
BetMGM is bringing back its Poker Championship as a highlight of the ARIA Poker Classic Summer Series, with a $4 million guarantee for the main event.
The tournament, running July 1 to 4, has upped the prize pool by a cool million compared to last year.
PokerStars is set to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Sunday Storm with a special $500,000 guaranteed edition.
It will be played in a PKO phased format.
The anniversary series features dozens of Phase 1 flights with Phase 2 scheduled for May 10.

The high-stakes tournament crusher David Peters has broken the silence and opened up on X about his debt situation with Dylan Linde. A couple of days earlier, Linde posted about Peters still owing him $23k for a piece of tournament action and how he regretted doing business with Peters.
In his latest post, David accepts the responsibility and apologizes for his “poor communication and missed deadlines.” However, he emphasizes that it’s always been his intention to pay Linde back in full, and he remains committed to that goal.

Joe McKeehen’s rise to poker stardom didn’t involve any grand plans or cinematic moments. As he tells it, he was just a regular kid from Philly who started staying in and clicking buttons on online poker sites. He never deposited a cent, instead grinding his way up through freerolls and getting staked by others.
He built his bankroll from scratch, even finding himself over six figures in makeup at one point. Things started to click when he scored a $175,000 win during his senior year of college, enough to pay off his loans and start believing in a poker career.
The 2015 WSOP Main Event was more of the same grind, at least until Day 3, when suddenly he had all the chips and 'everything just worked.’ The defining moment came against Daniel Negreanu, the crowd favorite. As Joe remembers, 'They got it in. It was a flip. And Joe won.’ After that, he ran over the final tables and the rest, as they say, is history.
The 2026 U.S. Poker Open Event #9 features a stacked final table, with Aram Zobian holding a narrow lead over Brandon Wilson.
Chino Rheem is also in the mix, alongside Nick Seward, Marius Gierse, and Clemen Deng. According to PokerGO, Deng has the chance to overtake Brock Wilson for the overall series lead if he finishes strong.
As the table is set, $292,800 awaits the winner.
Joao Simao walked away with yet another PokerGO Tour win at the U.S. Poker Open Event #8, but he says it was not as easy as it looked.

When President Trump’s OBBA Act quietly limited gambling loss deductions, it left many pros wondering if the game was still worth it. Titus explained to PokerNews that the provision was “added in the Senate, kind of in the dark of night,” and not even Nevada’s own senator caught it in time.
“We were going through it and found that provision and said, we got to get this out of here.”
The FAIR BET Act aims to restore the 100 percent deduction for gambling losses, so that, as Titus puts it, “bettors aren’t taxed on money they haven’t won.” This isn’t just about the pros either. “It’s like the casual bettor,” she says, noting the bill has bipartisan support and backing from key House committees.
With Congress involved, it’s anyone’s guess how long it’ll take, but Titus seems “optimistic we’ll get it done.”

The first big PokerStars series on FanDuel Poker has been a goldmine for players looking for extra value.
Across the opening weekend, overlays have been the theme. Out of 13 completed events, 11 missed their guarantees, creating more than $200,000 in added value.
More overlays are expected as the series continues.
Professional poker icon Erik Seidel has decided to scale back his tournament play, and it makes mainstream news.
According to CNBC, Seidel says the new tax law changes have made the professional circuit far less appealing. Starting in 2026, professional gamblers can only deduct up to 90 percent of their losses against winnings.
Seidel told CNBC this is enough to make him cut down to just a quarter of the tournaments he used to play. He is not alone, either. Russ Fox, a tax expert who works with gamblers, says the margins are so thin now that several pros are walking away.
“For most professionals, the 90 percent loss limitation is going to have a major impact.”

📅 From May 29 to July 15 (and slightly beyond), viewers can tune in every evening for around 10 hours of coverage, featuring the biggest moments and the most exciting final tables of the summer. According to PokerNews, Bleznick purchased a one-of-one Victor Wembanyama Topps Chrome Superfractor rookie autograph for $1 million and flipped it for $1.5 million.BetMGM is bringing its Poker Championship back to the ARIA in Las Vegas, and this year there’s a $4 million guarantee on the line.
That is a million more than last year’s event, as BetMGM tries to up the stakes for its summer centerpiece.
The main event runs from June 29 through July 4.
Online qualifiers over on BetMGM Poker in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey can win their way in for as little as $10. The final qualifiers run the weekend before the live event, for those who like to cut it close.
