888poker’s Ian Simpson’s 2026 was looking a bit drab—until Manchester came calling.

Simpson, representing 888poker, showed up at the UK Poker League festival and left with not just one, but two titles, and a total of £54,000 in prize money.

He started by taking down the High Roller event, a smaller field but a good confidence boost. That win bagged him £16,620 and a Main Event seat.

He wasn’t done there: Simpson then dominated the 345-strong Main Event, pocketing another £38,000.
