BetRivers Poker’s latest online tournament series, Micro Mania, wrapped up after eight days of play, with Sunday marking the final slate of events.

Designed specifically for micro-stakes and recreational players, the series filled a gap that isn’t always catered to in larger festival schedules. Rather than focusing on headline-grabbing prize pools, it featured 30 low buy-in tournaments spread across the week and was open to players from Pennsylvania, Michigan, Delaware, and West Virginia.

What set the series apart was its added value structure. Each event came with extra prize money on top of the advertised guarantees, meaning every tournament had an overlay component built in. Even when guarantees were met or exceeded, players still benefited from additional funds injected by the operator.

Buy-ins were kept intentionally accessible, ranging from $1 up to $20. Across the full schedule, the series advertised more than $32,000 in guaranteed prize pools, supported by a further $10,000 in added money from BetRivers.

By the time the final cards were dealt, Micro Mania had distributed over $53,000 across its 30 events. In total, 7,845 entries were recorded, averaging just over 260 per tournament. Player buy-ins alone generated $43,213, before the operator topped up the prize pools with its planned $10,000 contribution.

BetRivers Poker Micro Mania — Key Figures

  • Events: 30 tournaments
  • Guarantees: $32,000 + $10,000 added money
  • Total prize pools paid: $53,000+
  • Entries: 7,845
  • Largest prize pool: $10 Micro Mania Main Event — $5,619.45 (483 entries)

The $10 Main Event unsurprisingly drew the strongest turnout, pulling in 483 entries and building the biggest prize pool of the schedule. “BioPoker” came out on top in that tournament, securing the largest individual payout of the series at just over $1,000, along with a custom BetRivers water bottle awarded to winners.

One of the more distinctive elements of BetRivers Poker is its anonymous gameplay model. Players are assigned randomized screen names during play, with identities only revealed after events conclude. This approach has become a defining feature of the platform and is often cited as part of its appeal among casual players.

Elsewhere on the schedule, the $20 Big One generated the second-highest prize pool at $4,743 from 210 entries. The $10 Sunday Slam PKO also saw strong participation, attracting 387 entries and producing a $4,591 prize pool, making it one of the most popular events of the week.

Midweek action also held up well. The $10 Monday 6-Max surprisingly ranked among the busier tournaments, drawing 320 entries for a $3,528 prize pool, despite typically slower traffic on Mondays in online poker. The Midweek Monsterstack pulled in nearly 300 entries for a $663 prize pool.

A couple of players managed to pick up multiple titles during the series. “LieutScrewball” won both the $10 Series Starter and the $5 Sunday Solstice on opening day, banking a combined $936. Meanwhile, “runnibonk” secured victories in the $2 6-Max Monsterstack and $5 Friday Frenzy, finishing with close to $400 in total winnings.

Across all 30 tournaments, $10,000 was awarded in first-place payouts alone. Of the 30 winners, 28 were unique champions, and each event winner received a custom BetRivers-branded collectible item. In addition, leaderboard rewards distributed a further $1,670 in tournament tickets.

The latest edition marked the operator’s sixth tournament series overall and its third festival of the year. Earlier in May, the Summer Warm Up series generated $524k across 68 events and attracted more than 11,000 entries, setting a higher-volume benchmark compared to the more compact Micro Mania schedule.

Soccer World Cup Promotion in Full Swing

Beyond tournament action, BetRivers Poker is also running a Soccer World Cup-themed promotion. The “World Soccer Tournament Predictor” lets players pick match winners and qualify for associated freerolls tied to their selections. To participate, players must either log at least one cash game hand or enter a tournament with a buy-in of $1 or more on the day before the relevant match.

If the selected team wins, a freeroll is triggered the following day. All freerolls leading up to the final use an all-in format, while the Grand Final itself features a $5,000 freeroll. Entry into that final stage is limited to players who successfully complete at least five correct predictions during the campaign.

In total, the promotion will distribute more than $20,000 in cash prizes, with an additional $2,500 available through a separate leaderboard that rewards consistent accuracy.

BetRivers has also lined up further promotional activity in the pipeline. Stay tuned.
