On the latest Poker Weekly, Nick Schulman brought Daniel Negreanu onto SiriusXM to look back at his infamous 2004 run.
For those who don’t remember, Negreanu racked up over $4 million in tournament earnings that year, a time when five-figure buy-ins were a rarity. He took home Player of the Year honors from the World Poker Tour, the World Series of Poker, and Card Player Magazine, all while poker was exploding in popularity.
Negreanu shared stories about his first bracelet win in 1998, but the main event was his 2004 dominance. Schulman and Negreanu also quizzed recent Main Event winner Lucas Jumalon about his thought process at the final table, but it was Negreanu’s historic run that stole the show.
