McKeehen quietly pads his legacy with another six-figure win.

Joe McKeehen’s resume just got a little shinier after his win at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Championship. According to PokerNews, he bested 672 other entries and outlasted some seasoned pros at the final table, including Loni Hui and Darren Rabinowitz. Hui exited in third after her pocket eights couldn’t stand up to McKeehen’s queens.

I was skeptical that the Solana x WSOP partnership would turn into anything that meaningful.

Turns out I was wrong, and loads of people have been taking advantage of being able to use Solana to buy their way in.

Jeremy Ausmus breaks down his Day 3 WSOP Main Event decisions.

The field has thinned and the competition has gotten a lot less entertaining. Gone are the wild table draws from earlier rounds, replaced by a room full of battle-hardened pros. Ausmus focuses on key hands, especially what he calls 'wild folds’ that only happen in the Main Event.

APT Incheon just upped the ante for poker in South Korea, smashing previous attendance records with 1,393 entries.

That is nearly a 10 percent increase over last year and, according to APT CEO Fred Leung, proof that even with a packed poker calendar, the Asian Poker Tour continues to pull in the crowds.

“We’re very pleased to see the APT Incheon Main Event surpass last year’s record turnout. Particularly with so many overlapping poker festivals in Asia taking place after the conclusion of WSOP, the continued growth is a strong reflection of the confidence players have in the APT.”

Players who made the money are pocketing at least $2,700, while the winner will walk away with $374,085 and a golden lion trophy. The final table will also send the top three finishers straight into the $5 million guaranteed APT Championship later this year in Taipei. Not a bad payday for a $1,765 buy-in.

The first migration takes place this Thursday, August 13, when Betfair customers move to the new PokerStars on Betfair site. The platform will run on PokerStars’ software and share liquidity with the global PokerStars network, while Betfair’s existing iPoker skin will close.

888poker gives us a WSOP Main Event five-part docu-series.

The show tracks five ambassadors as they make their way to Las Vegas for the Main Event.

The cast—Lucia Navarro, Vivian Saliba, Ian Simpson, Nick Eastwood, and Aaron Barone—each handle the Vegas trip in their own way. Vivian dives straight into the $10k PLO Championship, while Aaron and Nick are on the hunt for American food. Meanwhile, Ian is just trying to adjust to being away from his family.

“It’s the best place in the world for a poker player,” says Navarro.

The show is less about poker strategy and more about the human aspect of high-stakes travel: excitement, nerves, and the occasional craving for a decent burger. Even Aaron, who usually skips live tournaments, can’t help but get caught up in the Vegas buzz.

Flutter has finally decided to bring Betfair Poker, Paddy Power, and Sky Poker onto the PokerStars Network, a move that has been years in the making.

Betfair Poker will rebrand as PokerStars on Betfair and move off the iPoker Network as of August 13, with Irish players being nudged over to the main PokerStars dot-com site.

Later this year, the same fate awaits Paddy Power and Sky Poker. As a result, three UK brands will operate on one shared network, giving access to the same tournaments and games as PokerStars.

The upside for players: a larger pool and more action.

The downside: the PokerStars UK skin will close, so players will have to migrate to one of the new options.

The WPT is getting well ahead of the schedule, releasing dates for 2027 already.

Being chased by a Raccoon may be the most American story of the day.

But it’s a gooooood one!

GGPoker is setting the stage for a record-shattering WSOP Online series.

The festival runs from August 16 to September 29, featuring 33 bracelet events and a total prize pool that could exceed $350 million. Promotions alone will total $5 million, which is enough to make any grinder’s summer more interesting.

The series is set to culminate in a $25,000,000 guaranteed WSOP Online Main Event on September 21, which will crown one ultimate online poker champion for the year and pay out a massive first-place prize on par with the prizes won in the 2026 WSOP series in Las Vegas.

Buy-ins range from a few hundred dollars up to $5,000, so the field will be packed with both hopeful newcomers and seasoned regulars.

PokerStars on FanDuel is set to host its second ever tournament series this September.

This follows the inaugural Ignite Series, which struggled to hit its guarantees but won points with players for value.

The confirmation came via the US Poker Discord server, where a company rep mentioned a “September Series Schedule” was being prepared. That’s about all we know, with the name, events, and prize pool still under wraps. At least a leaderboard is confirmed.
