Daniel Negreanu is not shy about his current love affair with pot-limit Omaha.
As he told PokerOrg, “PLO is my jam.” This summer, he racked up eight PLO cashes at the WSOP and walked away with his eighth bracelet and over two million dollars after winning the $100K High Roller.
But Negreanu insists it is more than just results. He says PLO fits his playing style because the real action is post-flop, where he feels most at home.
He credits Josh Arieh with helping to fine-tune his strategy, but makes it clear that the common wisdom about PLO is off the mark.

McKeehen quietly pads his legacy with another six-figure win.
Joe McKeehen’s resume just got a little shinier after his win at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Championship. According to PokerNews, he bested 672 other entries and outlasted some seasoned pros at the final table, including Loni Hui and Darren Rabinowitz. Hui exited in third after her pocket eights couldn’t stand up to McKeehen’s queens.

APT Incheon just upped the ante for poker in South Korea, smashing previous attendance records with 1,393 entries.
That is nearly a 10 percent increase over last year and, according to APTCEO Fred Leung, proof that even with a packed poker calendar, the Asian Poker Tour continues to pull in the crowds.

Flutter has finally decided to bring Betfair Poker, Paddy Power, and Sky Poker onto the PokerStars Network, a move that has been years in the making.
Betfair Poker will rebrand as PokerStars on Betfair and move off the iPoker Network as of August 13, with Irish players being nudged over to the main PokerStars dot-com site.
Later this year, the same fate awaits Paddy Power and Sky Poker. As a result, three UK brands will operate on one shared network, giving access to the same tournaments and games as PokerStars.

The festival runs from August 16 to September 29, featuring 33 bracelet events and a total prize pool that could exceed $350 million. Promotions alone will total $5 million, which is enough to make any grinder’s summer more interesting.
The series is set to culminate in a $25,000,000 guaranteed WSOP Online Main Event on September 21, which will crown one ultimate online poker champion for the year and pay out a massive first-place prize on par with the prizes won in the 2026 WSOP series in Las Vegas.
Buy-ins range from a few hundred dollars up to $5,000, so the field will be packed with both hopeful newcomers and seasoned regulars.
PokerStars on FanDuel is set to host its second ever tournament series this September.
This follows the inaugural Ignite Series, which struggled to hit its guarantees but won points with players for value.
