Denmark’s Gus Hansen came extremely close to reaching $20 million in all-time career online high stakes cash game losses this past week, but ended the week with a $145,718 profit. This included a $730,000 haul within 24 hours on Thursday, August 28 over the course of 1,316 hands, according to statistics provided by HighStakesDB.com.
Alexander Kostritsyn of the Russian Federation was the top earner in high stakes online games for the entire week, taking in $439,895 on Full Tilt Poker. He was followed by online pro sankler with $359,206 and Patrik Antonius, who made $262,722 to round out the top three.

Gus Hansen, despite his successful week, is still by far the biggest high stakes online loser this year with a YTD loss of $4.6 million. Phil Ivey is in second place on this list with $2.4 million and Viktor “Isildur1” Blom has also awarded $1.7 million to his opponents on Full Tilt Poker in 2014.

There were no major movements in the all-time online high stakes cash games list this past week. Ivey still leads the competition with $19.2 million, but has given back $5.1 million of that on his Polarizing account.
Antonius has $11.3 million in career earnings on his old, self-named account along with another $5.98 million under his newer Finddagrind name.
On the other side of the spectrum, Hansen has by far the worst all-time results with an overall loss of $19.47 million since 2007.
