Cort “thecortster” Kibler-Melby absolutely crushed the nosebleed stake online poker games this week, netting over $1 million in profit. Kibler-Melby has opted out of long-term tracking by HighStakesDB.com, making it difficult to determine just how much money the German has over the course of the month—but with a seven figure score this week and a big win the week before, he’s got to be leading the pack.

Julius “Kagome Kagome” Fleischer racked up the biggest loss, ending the week down more than $600,000. Like fellow German Kibler-Melby, Kagome Kagome has also opted out of long-term tracking, but one only needs to follow him on Twitter to realize that 2014 has not been his best year. In fact, he has not dragged a six-figure pot this year.
Thought by many to be the best heads-up limit hold ‘em player in the world, Kagome Kagome has had to adapt to the changing landscape of nosebleed stakes and take action where he can get it—which in these days is the draw games.

The biggest pot of the week was won by PokerStars Pro Ike “luvtheWNBA” Haxton who flopped a set and rivered a full house. Haxton felted his heads-up opponent Denoking who made trips on the river, and pulled in a pot worth over $303,000. That pot accounted for more than half of Haxton’s winnings for the week as he notched a $556,840 win.
While no player other than Kagome Kagome lost more than a half million dollars this week, Phil “Polarizing” Ivey came the closest by recording a loss of $459,205. That downswing pushed Ivey’s total losses for the year up over the $2 million mark to $2,276,313. However, once again, Ivey ranks second, this time to Full Tilt Pro Gus Hansen who dropped over $285,000 this week and failed to show up for promotional challenge against fellow Full Tilt Pro Viktor “Isildur1” Blom.
