Spencer Wins UKPC
The Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham played host to the Sky Poker UK Poker Championships as Alex Spencer (GPI#5532) picked up the first major title of his poker career.
Spencer got the best of Danny Blair (GPI#2263) heads-up. Charles Chattha (GPI#1205) was sixth in the event.
Leah, Buddiga Win Fallsview Prelims
Two big names won prelim events at the WPT Fallsview Poker Classic in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. Mike Leah (GPI#161) won the 1K prelim in his backyard, earning over 100K CAD for the title.
In the $2,500 prelim, Colorado native Pratyush Buddiga (GPI#215) cashed in for over 240K CAD in what was the first win of his poker career.

Six-way Chop At Million-dollar LAPC Prelim
A cool million dollars awaited those who cashed in the L.A. Poker Classic $1,600 buy-in Playboy event. Following Amit Makhija’s (GPI#641) elimination in 7th position, the final group of six agreed to a deal but still left some money up top to play for.
Adam Weinraub (GPI#3847) ended up with the title while David “ODB” Baker (GPI#167) finished third and Kyle Bowker (GPI#252) was fifth. A special tip of the cap to the Le family as five members of the family ran deep in the event, including famous brother Nam (GPI#757) who would finish 10th.
APT Victory For Hockin
New Zealand’s Paul Hockin (GPI#10981) won another big poker title last week, picking up 3,235,000 PHP for the win at APT Cebu in the Philippines.
Hockin, who counts only four live tournament cashes to his credit, won ANZPT Melbourne in October 2012.
Keck Wins BPT Montreux
Swiss native Nathan Keck (GPI#65115) has won in his homeland. Keck survived a final table that included French player Claude Metais (GPI#1461) to win the Barrière Poker Tour stop in Montreux, Switzerland.
Schoreck Tops In Baton Rouge
Shawn Schoreck (GPI#108877) topped former MSPT final table participant Kou Vang (GPI#587) to win the Mid-States Poker Tour Belle of Baton Rouge event in Louisiana.
Will Souther (GPI#2842) and Allen Kessler (GPI#137) also final tabled the Baton Rouge event.
Coming Up In America
A ton of big poker tournament series are about to kickoff around the world this week.
In America, the WPT L.A. Poker Classic starts on Saturday. One of the biggest tournaments of the season on the World Poker Tour, this year’s edition kicks off the WPT’s California Swing … next stop San Jose!
The WSOP Circuit Las Vegas Main Event will also kickoff later this week at Caesars Palace while the River City Casino will play host to the Heartland Poker Tour St. Louis Main Event.
Coming Up In Europe
Liv Boeree (GPI#143) will hope to do one better at UKIPT Dublin than she did in her last UKIPT event, where she was runner-up for the title in Edinburgh. Dublin is set to host many other of the UK’s top pros this week.
Meanwhile, the Italian Poker Tour will host many of Europe’s other top pros at IPT Saint Vincent starting on Thursday.
Coming Up In The Rest Of The World
The ANZPT takes over Australia this week in Perth as the Main Event is set to kickoff on Wednesday while the High Roller event is set for next Saturday.
